Your support means so much to the VFW, and more importantly, to your fellow service members and veterans who benefit directly from your generosity. As I write to you today, scores of wounded troops are now home from Iraq and Afghanistan with injuries they received protecting their country — protecting people like you and me. Many heroes are now disabled for life, suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress, burns, blindness, loss of limbs ... it’s the high price of freedom, and they paid for us all. With your help, the VFW is there for them every step of the way. We help our heroes get the benefits they deserve ... transition to civilian life ... and live with dignity and honor. The VFW is also fighting for veterans on Capitol Hill, ensuring that promises made are promises kept! We’re also hard at work fighting any proposed cuts in veterans’ benefits.
