The softball and baseball players came to Pickle Fieldhouse for lots of support. Everybody treated to overtime thriller and saw the nation’s leading scorer blister the nets for sixty points....yep sixty... in that one game Saturday afternoon. He had plenty of help as both teams went over one hundred points. I have broadcast sports on most every level, and that was as much of a thriller that I have called. Even fellow announcer on 88.5 fm, the do it all in every sport, the great Eddie Sherlin got really pumped up. And Sherlin does a super job adding all his knowledge of games. Hopefully the former pro will be doing more and more on air work. Macon county and Westmoreland some fine softball and baseball talent. Best to all our Kentucky and Western Kentucky fans. Remember just a few months ago, Drum Johnson, of Portland fame had a grandson on the Bowling Green Little League team that made it to national tourney, and our best to Goodlettsville little league guys.
