10.15.17 Pastor Steve & Pastor Dillon - Aim for Adventure Join us Wednesday night 10.18.17 for dinner from 5:15-6:00 and sermon based small groups from 6:15-7:30. 1.) What has been the most meaningful adventure you have ever experienced?

2.) How has God wired you? Are you an adrenaline junkie or a calculated risk type person? Tell a story that reflects this.

Read Numbers 3:1-3, 17 - 4:3 3.) What’s the risk of entering the Promised Land? What is the benefit of entering the land?

4.) What’s the risk of returning to Egypt? What is the benefit of returning to Egypt?

Read Matthew 16:23-25 5.) What are ways we see people in the Bible play it safe. Feel free to bring in examples from anywhere in scripture. What is God’s response to playing it safe?

6.) How does Jesus turn risk into reward? What risk is Jesus willing to take? What risk is Peter calling his disciples into?

Application 7.) How do you think of your story and role in the world?

The true understanding of the Bible is that it tells us a story of which my life is a part, the story of God’s tireless, loving, wrathful, inexhaustible patience with the human family, and of our unbelief, blindness, and disobedience. To accept this story as the truth of the human story (and so my story) commits me personally to a life of discernment and obedience in the new circumstance of each day. - Leslie Newbigin In light of Newbigin’s quote what adventure/story is Jesus calling you to today?
