Beginning next Monday, July 16th, fencing will be put up which will surround the location of the construction and the staging area. Any visitors to the church, beginning next Monday, will need to park in the north parking area due to construction activities. It is important that no one use the south parking lot as surveyors will be marking construction boundaries for asphalt removal, excavation, grading etc. After the fencing is completed, it will be clear what areas will be available for parking. There will be some parking available in the south parking lot for Sundays, but we will need to keep it clear during the week. On Sunday, July 22, we will have a team in the parking lot directing you to the areas where you can park. We thank you for your patience as we navigate our way through our building project. It is so exciting to see this project begin and what the Lord will do! As things change from week to week, we will do our best to keep you updated.

HAPPENINGS IN CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: We are currently creating Teaching Teams (4-6 people per class) for the Fall. These team members can decide which Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights they are able to serve, (being each other’s substitutes), so if anyone were unable to teach, they would be covered by their team. This would be a great opportunity to serve as a Life Group or with friends. Please talk with Donna if you are interested in be on a Teaching Team.

Many times they just need someone with an ear to listen & a heart to understand. Stephen Ministries provide confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care for both men & women amidst difficult seasons.

You are what you love. But you might not love what you think. In this book, award-winning author James K. A. Smith shows that who and what we worship fundamentally shape our hearts. And while we desire to shape culture, we are not often aware of how culture shapes us. We might not realize the ways our hearts are being taught to love rival gods instead of the One for whom we were made. Smith helps readers recognize the formative power of culture and the transformative possibilities of Christian practices. He explains that worship is the "imagination station" that incubates our loves and longings so that our cultural endeavors are indexed toward God and his kingdom. This is why the church and worshiping in a local community of believers should be the hub and heart of Christian formation and discipleship.
