HANDS OF GRACE During the month of February, we are collecting items for Pivotal Point Transitional Housing. They have a pantry for the residents, and we want to help stock their shelves. This program offers weekly counseling sessions on employment, budgeting, problem-solving and nutrition. A list of items needed is in your bulletin today. There is a table in the lobby for your generous donations.

Huffman United Methodist Church will be hosting this event on Friday, February 8th from 6:00 – 9:00pm. 2019 FOCUS ON MISSIONS “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21 We would like to invite you to our “Focus on Missions” at Grace. We encourage you to attend and be in prayer for each of these events and our missionaries. ►Monday – Thursday, February 25th through February 28th, from 5:00-9:00pm, we will have halfhour prayer times for you to come to the church and pray for our missionaries and their families. Sign up is available at the information desk or on our website. ►Wednesday, February 27th, our ReSet and Renewal groups will meet with Rick and Kindra Pridey from Cru in South Dakota and Ebenezer Samuel with Serve India. ►Friday, March 1st at 6:00pm, we will have dinner with the missionaries and have an opportunity to hear about their work in the field. Pastor Nick and ReSet youth will host the meal. Tickets are $3 per person and families over four are $10. This will give us an accurate account for dinner and the money raised will be sent to Honduras to help support the school at AFE. ►Saturday March 2nd at 9:00am, we invite families that attend Grace to be our guests for breakfast. We will work with Hands of Grace on a project to help local agencies in our community. No charge for breakfast, but we will have a sign up to get a count. ►Sunday, March 3rd, at 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:00am, Keith Haywood with Operation Mobilization, will bring the message at all three services. Bob and Kathy Owen will work with our High 5 Children’s Church during their morning services. ►Sunday evening, March 3rd at 5:00pm, our Honduras mission team will recap their trip and we will have an update on the faith promise pledges at our missions week finale in the sanctuary. ►If you have any questions about what we are planning for this event or any event, please give us a call at 816-279-2090.
MEN’S MINISTRY Mark your calendars for May 16th-19th. We will be heading to Keystone, South Dakota for our annual men’s retreat. We will be in the Black Hills/Mount Rushmore area. You can hike, golf, fish, tour caves, visit National Parks and might even get to see four famous presidents on the side of a mountain. Cost is $130 per person, $100 if you have kids at home, $100 for you and $100 for any unchurch friend you invite to attend. Any questions contact Matt –
