You Can Know Christ as Savior & Lord Through:



CONVERSION (salvation): respond to the Gospel by repenting of your sin and trusting Christ by faith for forgiveness of sin and eternal life. Acts 2:36-40



COMMITMENT (obedience): publicly identify with Christ and His Church through baptism and membership in a local church. Acts 2:41-45



CELEBRATION (worship): surrender your life and express your love to the Lord in weekly worship with other Christ-followers in a local church. Acts 2:46-47

1. What Does It MEAN to Know Christ? The Difference Between Fans and Followers:

Fans of Jesus know Christ FACTUALLY, but followers of Jesus know Christ PERSONALLY in a living, eternal relationship. “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves know— this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised Him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.” ~Peter, Acts 2:22-24 ESV “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” ~Jesus, John 17:3 NKJV

DTR = “Define The Relationship” Do I have a personal RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ where I know Christ and Christ knows me? “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and in Your name drive out demons and in Your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!’” ~Jesus, Matthew 7:21-23 NIV
