2013 Summer Camps for UCC Youth and Children Grand Camp

Grand Camp allows grandchildren (ages 4‐10) to encounter a Christian camp experience with their grandparents (a grandparent figure from church or a parent may also accompany the camper). The camp includes age‐appropriate activities for children, programming for grandparents/adults, combined activities, recreation, and worship opportunities. Each child must be accompanied by an adult participant.

Grand Camp 1 begins on Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m. and will conclude Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m.

Grand Camp 2 begins on Friday, August 30 at 5 p.m. and will conclude Sunday, September 1, at 10 a.m.

Discovery Camp

Children that have completed the 2nd and 3rd grades are eligible to attend a weekend of learning, swimming, crafts, and energetic games at Discovery Camp. This camp experience is shared with a parent or relative, and we hope the weekend will strengthen family bonds as well as introduce your child to summer camp.

Participants will arrive between 6:30 and 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24 and depart on Sunday, May 26 at 4:30 p.m.

JYF Camp

JYF is for youth who have completed the 4th and 5th grades. Campers will engage bible stories and faith points through fun arts and crafts, games, swimming, interactive learning stations, and worship experiences.

JYF 1: Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 8 and concludes at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12.

JYF 2: Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15 and concludes at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 19.

Chi Rho Camp Chi Rho is one of the most fun and unique camp experiences we offer, and it’s open to all youth who have just completed 6th and 7th grades. It takes place on the "creative side" of Disciples Crossing, a separate facility from the main camp with cabins nestled in the pine woods. The week is filled with exciting games, engaging small groups, meaningful worship experiences, and great keynotes.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 24 and camp concludes at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29.

Niner's Youth Conference

NYC is designed for youth that have completed the 9th grade and focuses on leadership and spirituality. We’ll look at ways people can strengthen their faith practices and share their gifts and talents with the church. This special camp allows your class to gather for another camp on its own the year after Eighter’s, and is quickly becoming one of the favorite camp experiences for youth.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 17 and camp concludes at 10 am on Saturday, June 22.

Eighter's Camp

Eighter's Youth Conference is a camp exclusively for youth who have completed 8th grade. The week is designed for campers to develop self‐esteem through a Biblically‐based sexuality and spirituality curriculum called “Created to Be Me: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” Parents of enrolled campers will receive an info packet from the keynoters providing details on the themes and topics covered each day of the camp.

Registration begins on Sunday, June 30 at 3 p.m. , and camp concludes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6.

CYF Conference

CYF Conference is for youth who have completed grades 10‐12. This year’s camp will explore the theme “"Rediscover the Soul: The Elements of our Faith.” Like all of our camps, CYF Conference offers older youth a week of learning, playing, worshiping, and growing together.

Registration begins on Monday, June 10 at 10 a.m. and camp concludes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15.
