2015 Liberty Jamboree Liberty State Park Service Project Program

As part of the 2015 Liberty Jamboree, Patriots’ Path Council has developed a program of service projects in Liberty State Park to benefit the park, Scouts and units attending the jamboree. Each Day of Service is designed as a project for approximately 50 Scouts and adult leaders, with work beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Benefits for each Scout and unit participating in a Day of Service: 1) Each youth and adult Scouter who provides a Day of Service will receive a patch/rocker to recognize their Day of Service. 2) Each youth Scout who provides a Day of Service will receive a speed pass good for one high adventure activity at the 2015 Liberty Jamboree. 3) For each group of 8 youth Scouts who provide a Day of Service, the unit will receive 1 complimentary parking pass at the 2015 Liberty Jamboree. 4) Youth and adult Scouters and their units who provide a Day of Service will be recognized at the Saturday evening extravaganza at the 2015 Liberty Jamboree. Day of Service is defined by the council as serving for the duration of the scheduled service day. Units must provide their own transportation and two-deep leadership. Units are required to complete a tour and activity plan to participate via www.myscouting.org, available under your “unit tools”. Units should also report their service hours for these projects toward their community service JTE objective. For more information, please visit www.libertyjamboree.ppbsa.org.
