Overview You have now received the 2015-Q3 geocoding dataset. There are several important changes included in this data set. For the first time, the CRA Wiz & Fair Lending Wiz geocoding data includes a parcel data. This additional data type has been added to the application to support a new geocoding method called parcel level matching. This methodology was added to CRA Wiz & Fair Lending Wiz Version 7.1 to better align its geocoding strategies with the FFIEC’s. For more specific details around the changes implemented for geocoding, please refer to the CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz Version 7.1 Release Notes. We generally recommend, batch geocoding on your data files using the Only Rematch ZIP Matched setting to achieve additional matches when a new geocoding dataset is received. However, this update is an exception. As stated in the Version 7.1 Release Notes, we are strongly recommending that institutions install CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz Version 7.1 and re-geocode their 2015 CRA and HMDA submission files to take advantage of the new geocoding methodology. Also starting with this dataset, geocoding data updates will be data only. All geocoding support files that were historically delivered with the Q3 data update have been moved to the CRA Wiz & Fair Lending Wiz Program Update. This modification was made to eliminate the need for institutions running the application in a client/server environment to install any client side components with geocoding data updates. All geocoding support files for the client and server will be installed with Version 7.1 and future program updates.

Who should install All clients that use CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz as their geocoding provider should install this update.

Where to install The update should be installed only on the server. To find the current location of your geocoding data go to System Maintenance > Data and Application Mapping and check the path next to Geocoding Data – 2010.

Prerequisites CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.1

Required permissions The geocoding installer uses an executable to write files to a drive of your choice and make row-level updates on the SQL server. A Windows administrator account with base-level privileges to update the SQL server is recommended.

Installation Instructions The instructions below describe the geocoding data installation for a standard client-server environment. Workstation environments where the application and the SQL server are on the same machine should follow the server instructions. To install 2015-Q3 Address Data, refer to the following procedures.

Server Install To install geocoding data to your server, do the following: 1. Using the 2015-Q3 Geocoding Data DVD, run Setup.exe. The installer displays the Welcome screen:

3. Enter the SQL server name and instance as shown below: a. Example: SVRBOS01\SQLEXPRESS

Confirming Installation In CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz, go to Main > System Maintenance. Note the path listed next to Geocoding Data 2010 and use Windows Explorer to navigate to it. Open the file called geo32ver in a text editor. You should see the version below:

If not, either the install did not complete successfully or the path in System Maintenance is incorrect.
