2016 John Lucas Last Run Showcase Rules 

NCAA Rules w ill apply to this tournament.



National High School Federation rules w ill be followed with the few exceptions listed below .



Each player w ill be allow ed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.



All games w ill be played in tw o (2) sixteen (16) minute halv es.



Ov ertime periods w ill be sudden death, the first team to score at least tw o points w ill be declared the w inner.



There w ill be a running clock w hen a team is 20 points ahead.



Starting the 2nd half of play. Regular timing procedures will resume anytime that the point differential falls below the 15 point limit.



There w ill be a tw o (2) minute rest period betw een halves.



Teams w ill be allow ed to call three (3) thirty second time-outs during the regulation game w ith one (1) additional thirty second time-out added for an ov ertime game.



There w ill be a minimum of a four (4) minute w arm up period betw een games.



A team w ill reach the 2 shot free throw bonus on their opponent’s 10t h team foul of each half. There w ill be no one and one bonus on the opponent’s 7t h team foul.



NCAA certified coaches and team players are only allow ed to sit on their designated team bench.



NCAA certified coaches must w ear colored event w ristbands and Coaches Badges designated for the John Lucas Enterprises Last Run Show case. Coaches that are not in compliance w ith this rule w ill be removed from the bench by the game officials. Any complications could result in that coach’s team hav ing to forfeit the game. No trainers, scorekeepers, or managers are allowed to sit ont the bench unless they are certified by the NCAA.



All teams are expected to arriv e for games thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled start times. Score-books must be filled out and marked w ith starters before the official game time. I f a team is not on the court at the scheduled game time an official forfeit will be declared (Start time w ill be enforced). I f any team that is know ingly unable to make their scheduled game must notify the Tournamnent Director in adv ance. In bracket play, if a team cannot adv ance, the losing team adv ances as if they had w on the prev ious game.



Players w ill be allow ed to play for one team only. Once a player plays in a game for one team, she w ill no longer be eligible to participate for any other team in the tournament.



Each team must bring your ow n basketballs to w arm up w ith.



I n Pool and Bracket Play, the home team is listed first and w ill w ear light colored jerseys and sit to the left of the scorekeeper facing the court. The v isitor team w ill w ear dark jerseys and sit to the right of the scorekeeper facing the court.
