Please pray for our missionaries Ron and Bonnie Thiesen (International Christian School of Budapest). Praise God for, “Ministry To Refugees”, the result of graduates now sharing and teaching the Bible in the Balkan countries. They also find Christians among the refugees who especially appreciate the love and compassion after fleeing persecution for their faith. Also, praise the Lord for ICSB students who have worshiped and served together with the youth in the Roma gypsy community.

Welcome Guests If you are visiting with us today, welcome! We are thrilled to have you as our guest! On the right side of this page is a “tear-off” card. We would love to know you joined us today, so please take a moment to fill out the card and drop it in the offering plate when it is passed. We promise we won’t contact you unless you ask us to. Most importantly, if you have prayer requests, our elders and pastors would be honored to pray for you. If this is your first time with us, you may have questions about what we do and why we do it, and we welcome a chance to answer your questions. Simply find someone with a yellow, green, or red ID badge. If you prefer a phone call or email, just let us know by using the tear-off card and dropping it in the offering plate. Speaking of the offering, you should feel no pressure or obligation to participate. The ministry of Central is supported by the faithful giving of Central members, and we are just glad that you are here. Finally, we sincerely invite you to return next week. We will be starting a new sermon series, and it's the kick-off of our summer brunches. Brunch is served from 9:30 to 11am in the Fellowship Hall. Just follow your nose!

Officer Nominations Central’s Officer Nominating Committee of the Congregation (ONCC) is continuing to accept your nominations for qualified individuals for the offices of elder and deacon, as well as candidates from the congregation to serve on the ONCC next year. The deadline for submitting nominations is July 31. The ONCC process is a wonderful opportunity to have a voice in selecting our next classes of elders and deacons. It is also super easy to make a nomination. First, please read and pray through what God’s word says about church leaders in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and in Titus 1:6-9. You can read the full description of qualifications at www.centralpres.com/officer-qualifications/. After speaking to the person you would like to nominate and gaining their approval, you can then use the nomination form at www.centralpres.com/ONCC or a paper ballot located in either the Hanley or Davis lobbies. Thank you in advance for your prayer and participation in this important process!

It's Almost Brunch Season At some level, we all long to be known and understood – by God and those around us. Our prayer is that you find Central to provide a wonderful, safe environment where that can occur. Sunday school and Equip Central classes, Bible studies, small groups, shortterm missions trips, and countless other examples all offer a chance to not only grow in your knowledge of the Lord, but to be known by those around you. Outside of church, how do you typically get to know someone? Often, it’s over a meal. We are thrilled to offer exactly this sort of opportunity with our “Summer@Central” brunches. From 9:30 to 11am each Sunday morning beginning July 3, you can enjoy a delicious brunch in the Fellowship Hall with family and friends, both old and new!. The Summer Brunches will continue through August 7. In addition to being a great way to get to know others, they are also a great opportunity to invite someone to church. After all, who can say no to bacon?

Central’s Bible Reading Plan

Therefore Encourage... "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Encouragement is such a integral component of knowing, being known, and making known. It's a way of demonstrating love and compassion, and an understanding of one another, and spreading the love of Christ. The call to encourage one another can be one of the easier yet most meaningful aspects of the Christian life. We all need support from those around us as we run our race. Today, stop by the Fellowship Hall and send a special message to someone you know who needs a little encouragement. It's a fun, easy, and fast way to live out 1 Thessalonians. We have all the supplies, all we need is your smiling face! The photo booth will be available from 8:30 until noon. Photos can be posted to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ CPCStL), where you can tag the person you want to encourage.
