Listening to Leslie From the Desk of Dr. Gant

Happy New Year 2017! Wow, it’s hard to believe we are already into a new year! A lot has been happening Leslie O. Gant, AuD, F-AAA at Mountain Audiology Doctor Of Audiology over the past year. Tabbitha Ross came to our office as a hearing assistant in March, 2016. She is currently working toward NC hearing aid licensure. You will be seeing her frequently as she handles repairs, routine cleanings, and assists the hearing doctors in handling patient care. Tina Noland joined the practice as the Patient Care Coordinator in April, 2016. You may have seen her smiling face at the check-in window or heard her sweet voice calling to confirm your appointment. Teresa Alexander continues solving everyday issues in the office as the Office Manager. She is expecting her first grandbaby in March of this year! Erika Hendrickson, Au.D, joined the practice in August, 2016. She has been a big asset in seeing new patients and establishing rapport with existing ones. As for me, I welcomed my first grandbaby, a granddaughter, Truett Ryann Myers in November, 2016. She is already the love of my life! Website: www.mtnaudio.com

Remember Walk-In Hours!

Need hearing care, but don’t want to make an appointment? Our walk-in clinic is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 am - 11:45 am. Our walk-in clinic is for basic hearing aid cleaning, earmold tube replacement and hearing aid checks. Any adjustments and/or reprogramming or other services must be done on an appointment basis. We look forward to seeing you!

Greetings! My name is Erika Hendrickson and I’m pleased to meet you. I am the new audiologist working with Leslie Gant at Mountain Audiology. I’ve been with Leslie for six months and I’ve loved every minute of it. I relocated Erika Hendrickson, AuD from New Jersey to offer Doctor Of Audiology my services and learn about the southern charm everyone talks about. I received my doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I’ve practiced in New York, New Jersey and now beautiful North Carolina. In the last four years, I’ve volunteered for several mission trips to third world

Mom’s Kitchen Corner Recipes

Jalapeño Cream Cheese Swirls - makes 32 swirls Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 8 oz. cream cheese, softened, use ¾ of block 2 oz. diced jalapeños - may want to use less 1 Tb. sugar 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls

Mix together softened cream cheese, jalapeños, and sugar. Roll our crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Pinch seams together. Spread mixture on unbaked dough. Roll up and slice into 1/2 inch pieces. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 13 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes. Remove and enjoy! Everyone loves these so make sure you buy extra ingredients!
