North West Region Go Canoeing Event Contribution Information

Overview The British Canoeing North West Regional Development Team (BC NW RDT) is supporting paddlesport engagement within the region by financially contributing to certain Go Canoeing events to increase the participation of paddlesport within clubs. A Go Canoeing event is great way to organise and advertise a public taster session for your club. For more information refer to http://www.gocanoeing.org.uk/go/. We provide a contribution of £50 for the following applicable Go Canoeing events: • • •

Go Canoeing Female Only Event. Go Canoeing Disability Orientated Event. Go Canoeing Junior Event.

Requirements The club is required to complete the following items prior to the contribution being considered by the BC NW RDT: • The club is to be affiliated to British Canoeing and in the North West region. • The event is to be registered with Go Canoeing. The contribution will be paid to the club and not the event organiser. A full list of attendees is to be provided to the Chair following the Go Canoeing event. The club is to submit the application form prior to the event and to the details on the form. You will be informed that your application has been received within 2 weeks of submitting the form by the Chair and whether it is to be consider by the BC NW RDT. The BC NW RDT will meet as required to discuss and reply to applications. The £50 contribution shall be paid to the club after the event following proof that the event has gone ahead and was attended. Confirmation of the contribution from the BC NW RDT should be obtained, in writing, prior to making any financial commitment towards the event. Each application will be assessed on its own merits. A contribution will only be awarded to a club a maximum of 4 times in a twelve month period. Contributions are approved and awarded at the discretion of the BC NW RDT. If the clubs’ circumstances change and you are no longer planning to run the event, you are to inform the Chair.
