Safari Adventure: Lesson 3 – January 19/20 Group Time Guide: Pre-K 2

Group Time Guide Supplies Needed: Whiteboard, dry erase marker, eraser.

1. Introductions and Snack Circle Up: Have the Kid-Os put their hands in the middle, count to three and yell KidO-Deo! Then have everyone sit down. Encourage each Kid-O to say their name. Do This: Give kids hand sanitizer, then hand each of them a snack.

2. Discussion Questions • What did we learn that God made in the Bible Adventure? (People!) • What did the leader take out of the box? (A map). Why did they have a map? (Maps show us the way to go. God can help us know what decisions to make, too!)

3. Hands-On Option Do This: Draw a person on the whiteboard (a stick person is fine). Ask kids to choose the person’s name, hair color, favorite animal, age, eye color, favorite thing to do for fun, and how many brothers and sisters they have. Write down their answers on the whiteboard. The Point: God made you, and everything about you! God knows all of these things about you, and has an amazing plan for you. He cares about you, your family, and the things that happen in your life!

4. Big Idea, Memory Verse, Stickers, and Prayer Do This: Practice the Big Idea and Memory Verse with the kids, as time allows. You could use different voices, or simply have them repeat after you. Give each kid a sticker. Encourage them to talk about what they learned with their grown-ups. Do This: Pray! “Dear God, we love you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for making us. Amen.”
