PAY-AND-SAVE, INC. Welcome to Lowe's.

Our Company: The Pay-and-Save, Inc. Supermarket chain d/b/a LOWE’s has a rich family history that can be traced back to the late 1940’s when E.M. "Bud” Lowe started his career by selling candy and sundries with only one truck distributing throughout the town of Littlefield. The LOWE’S grocery career began in 1964 with the purchase of their first store in Olton, Texas. Bud and his son, Roger, founded the company on the principle of taking care of the community, their teammates, and their family. It is this philosophy that has allowed the company to grow to 146 stores in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. In 1973, Bud Lowe passed away and Roger took the reigns to develop the grocery stores into what they are today. Roger’s strong belief in God and the importance of family values are the cornerstones of the LOWE’S success. As his father passed the tradition onto him, Roger is passing the legacy onto Roger Lowe Jr. and Lezlie Lowe. Roger has now become the mentor, advisor and encourager to his family. These teachings along with the younger generation’s energy, leadership and counsel have launched LOWE’S into one of the fastest growing supermarket chains in our area. The entire LOWE’S family is involved and dedicated to ensuring the success of LOWE’S. Roger Lowe Sr. serves as President/Chairman of the Board, Yvette Lowe, Roger Lowe’s wife serves as Vice-President; their son, Roger Jr. serves as VP/CEO and their daughter, Lezlie, serves as VP/General Counsel respectively. The LOWE’S strive to give their teammates the opportunity to grow personally, have good means for providing for themselves and their families, as well as, provide a rewarding career path. The real success of LOWE’S is attributed to our TEAMMATES! Welcome to the LOWE’S family.

a message from... ROGER LOWE, SR. Chairman/President

The entire Lowe’s Family would like to express to all our Teammates how grateful we are for the great effort and accomplishments of this past year. We had a record year in sales and profit made possible by great Teammate performance, addition of new stores, remodels and new oil-field activity in South Texas. We have been truly blessed. As we move forward into 2013 to remain successful we cannot forget what made us successful in the first place. We must continue to take care of our Customers, Teammates, Family and Communities we serve. In 2013 we must move forward finding solutions and meet challenges to take advantage of opportunities to grow our business. Our company has always, from the day it was born over 49 years ago, pursued excellence everyday. Our company culture is conservative, but we are not afraid to try new ways of doing business. We continue to recognize who the boss is “the Consumer-Our Consumer” and the importance in listening to them. We continue to surround ourselves with the best Teammates available. We continue to remember that people do business with those they like and trust. I will close with two thoughts; First about Quality: A little bit of quality will always make ‘em smile; A little bit of courtesy will bring ‘em in a mile; A little bit of friendliness will Tickle ‘em ‘tis plain And a little bit of service will Bring ‘em back again. Second about Wisdom: Much wisdom can be crowded in four words: * In God we trust * This, too, shall pass * Live and let live * Still waters run deep * Bad news travels fast * Nothing succeeds like success * Charity begins at home * Politics makes strange bedfellows * Nothing ventured nothing gained * Man proposes, God disposes * Let sleeping dogs lie God Bless you. Roger Lowe Sr. President

TEAMMATES Key to our success

We believe it is important for teammates to be connected with each other and to know what is happening in our other stores. With 146 stores and over 4,500 employees we want each and everyone to know they are an important part to the success and dedication of our company. We care about each and every one of you and the communities that you live in. Here at LOWE’S, we strive to give teammates the opportunity to grow personally, have good means for providing for themselves and their families, as well as, provide a rewarding career path. The real success of LOWE’S is attributed to our TEAMMATES!

Dear Lowe’s Super S Foods, Just want to give a compliment to your store in Sonora. I work for a bank and I had some business at one of the local banks in town. I live in Dallas. I was very much impressed on how clean the store was and the employees were very friendly. I think every one of the employees I ran into spoke to me. For a small store it was so neat and organized, and I couldn’t believe all the variety to choose from in such a small store. I went back and told the people at the bank about my shopping experience at the store and one of them told me it really has come to together in the past few months. It is now a pleasure to shop there, instead of having to travel to San Angelo, I just wanted to write and give you all at Lowe’s a pat on the back for doing an excellent job in Sonora, TX. Thanks, Rachel Eston Elizabeth in Junction

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your excellent customer service on November 1, 2012. At 12:45 PM that day, all 853 students and 70 staff members in our high school had to evacuate the building. When it became apparent that the students and teachers would be outside in the heat for some time, I sent my Business Manager, Mrs Tish Grill and her staff to your store to purchase 50 cases of water for the students. I was so pleased and appreciative when Mrs. Grill reported to me how helpful you were in this crisis. Your staff immediately began loading water into our vehicles and the purchase was concluded quickly and efficiently. We were able to deliver the water to our students within 20 minutes of walking in your store. This was truly an example of community spirit and superior service. Thank you Lowe’s! Cristina Markiewicz and I had the pleasure and honor of representing Lowe’s at the 21st Annual White Sands Invitational Balloon Festival. Lowe’s was one of the balloon festival sponsors. Our balloon was called “Band of Gold” and the chase crew was called the “Golden Retrievers”. On Friday evening, all of the pilots, sponsors, and chase crews met and had a barbeque dinner at our civic center. We got to meet our pilot at that time and discuss our early morning flight times. Cristina’s hot air balloon ride was on Saturday at 8 am over Alamogordo. She flew over highways and buildings and had a great view of our city. She had a “smooth” and fairly long ride, but

22

got to experience a rather “bumpy” but memorable landing on a mesquite bush. All’s well. On Sunday, I got a balloon ride over the White Sands National Monument. We met at balloon park in Alamogordo at 6am to caravan to the White Sands. This was so much fun! The caravan was soooo long because of the number of pilots, chase crew, and sponsor vehicles. The police even stopped highway traffic for us. (Cool) The pilot called my flight, “park hopping”. We would lift up and down all around the sand’s parking lots. The balloons’ chase crews were not allowed on the white sands because it is a national park, AND the White Sands is surrounded by the White Sands Missle Range and Holloman Air Force Base. So……no wandering. It was uuuup, dowwwn, uuuup, dowwwn, ect. It was great fun. The weather was perfect and the view was spectacular! I have included pictures to make everyone feel a part of this. We live in a beautiful area. We appreciate this opportunity so much. Gail Watters Lowe’s Pharmacy #55 Alamogordo, NM

Dear San Saba Lowe's, I was in the store right before Christmas when Santa was brought in by the assistant manager, The Ace manager and others to surprise the manager and other employees. It was nice to see management and employees all having a good time together, taking their turn on Santa's knee. I'm glad Lowe's kept the Super S Team. They are a wonderful bunch, making customers feel at home while they shop. Customers are greeted with a friendly "Hello, how are you?" and a smile, as they come in the door and as they are met throughout the store by management and employees alike. I have been in businesses where employees were belittled by the boss in front of customers. It was embarassing and I never went back. In the San Saba Lowe's everyone seems to get along well and treat each other with respect. All this adds up to a great shopping experience! Hats off to you all! Carolyn Johnson

Lowe’s to reopen Friday at new location Store remodel nearly complete By Neal Ulmer Brady Standard-Herald

129

#

Brady, TX

If you used to shop at the downtown Lowe’s Market grocery store, you’ll have to make the trip across town. The store has relocated and will open this Friday at their new location at 806 W. 17th St. “Friday is the deadline we are shooting for and I’m 90 percent sure we will make it,” said Roger Lowe, Jr., VicePresident and CEO of Lowe’s Market.  “We are just trying to open the doors and let our people get their feet on the ground. We want to make sure all of our processes are working.” Lowe stated that all of the equipment is brand new state-of-the-art refrigeration cases with LED lighting and the most technologically advanced systems. Everything is geared toward a green environment focused on efficiency. The store, which was formerly the old McShan’s IGA, will have a new façade that was still being finished as this story went to press. Once the renovation is complete, the store will be virtually new from top to bottom as part of their efforts to achieve their marketing and sales goals. The old McShan’s building is owned by the Dieterle family and will be leased by the Lowe’s Corporation. They will be carrying the same products they have been carrying and will bring in more specialty items and gourmet foods. They will have a better selection of meats and will expand their hot food items in their deli, including favorites like whole rotisserie chickens, rotisserie leg quarters and barbecued ribs. They will also have an expanded beer and wine set.  “At Lowe’s, we strive to give our customers the freshest meats, fruits, and vegetables, fantastic promotions, and a fast and friendly checkout,” said Lowe. “The store inside is as first class as they come. It’s like a brand new store. It is more organized and more efficient and is also a fully-carpeted store.” According to Lowe, the store will not change their current employee basis, but will probably add more jobs.  The Lowe’s grocery chain began in 1964 with the purchase of their first store in Olton. Bud and his son, Roger, founded the company on the principle of taking care of the community, their teammates and their family. “It is this philosophy that has allowed the company to grow to 147 stores in West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado,” said Lowe. NEARLY THROUGH—Workers put up the façade of the new Lowe’s Market on West 17th Street early Wednesday morning. Closed for the past week to facilitate the move, the store has relocated from the downtown area to the facility that was once McShan’s IGA.

STOCKING UP—Lowe’s Market employees were busily putting items on the shelves Monday morning in preparation for the re-opening of the grocery store at its new location at 806 W. 17th St. Lowe’s will open for business at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Many Thanks from all around!

Dear Pay and Save, Inc.: Your gift allows us to fulfill our mission of changing lives. Because of you, LCU can provide an excellent academic education within a warm, loving, spiritual environment. Thank you for your gift. The university is always looking for creative ways to provide a quality Christian education to as many people as possible, and LCU’s new approach to educational offerings is a great example of that creativity. By redesigning the delivery of our courses, students now have the option to take courses during weekdays, during the evenings, on weekends and online. LCU will continue to emphasize strong academic preparation while reaching out to change the lives of individuals who have not had the opportunity to access higher education at traditional times. Again, thank you for your interest and investment in Lubbock Christian University. You are greatly appreciated. Sincerely, John King Vice President of University Relations

Lamb County SWCD would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your donation to send Lindsey May and her parents to Bastrop. Lindsey will have the picture displayed on a bulletin board at the state meeting where she will be recognized during the awards ceremony and receive a beautiful plaque. Thanks again, SWCD Board

Mr. Lowe, I went to Albertson’s last Saturday and I realized how much more customer focused your personnel are at your 9120 Dyer Store in El Paso than your competition. I had to jot you a note. I’d like to share two quick examples of your personnel at the Lowes 9120 Dyer Store “going the extra mile”. Anne (I don’t know her last name) works at the customer service counter. I needed to wire money. I got to the customer service counter and like a fool I had forgotten my glasses. After helping the other customers, Anne assisted me with the form and read the fine print on the form to me – saving me a trip home for my glasses. Patricia, a regular cashier who was stocking shelves assisted us. There was an item on sale and none of the product was on the shelf. We asked Patricia when the next delivery would be. She said a truck had arrived earlier in the day and if we’d give her a couple minutes to check, she was sure the product on sale had been delivered and she would get it for us. Literally five minutes later Patricia appeared with a box of the sale item. Mr. Lowe, you will not see service like that from Albertson’s, Wal-Mart, or JR. Grocery. Your great employees build customer loyalty. My compliments to your HR and training management team Best wishes for continued success, Sincerely, Jeff Barber

Dear SMSgt Duane Brown (Ret): My name is David Fleming and I was one of the invitees from the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons’ Honor Guard. My wife Valerie and I would like to extend our sincerest appreciation for everything you and Lowe’s Pay and Save did to make us feel at ease. Initially I was a bit apprehensive, being one of four individuals representing the Air Force at your event; however from the night that we arrived, my wife and I were treated as though we were all part of the family. We left impressed by the way in which you treat your business associates, employees, and guests; simply put, you do business the right way. Thank you, David Flemming Thank you so much for thinking of me and my family during the loss of my grandfather. His service was a blessing and it was beautiful with the plants and flowers that were sent.
