Encole Part Number: 326A1001 Sight Glass Window, High Temperature, 2" Aperture Circular sight window designed for continuous operation at temperature up to 2000 degrees F. This sight window has perfect optical clarity for seeing the smallest details inside a hot furnace, or combustion chambers at near-ambient pressures. The metal components are made from a lean austenitic heat resistant alloy with high strength and excellent oxidation resistance and good resistance to sulfidation. The quartz window is sandwiched between two graphite gaskets with controlled compression. During bolt torquing the metal cover lands directly onto the weld pad removing any stresses from the window, regardless of the bolt torque. The benefit of this design is ease of assembly with a wide range of the bolt torque. The window can be removed and replaced for maintenance as many times as required. The gaskets should be replaced after two or three disassemblies, depending on the leak tightness requirements. The weld pad can be custom machined to conform to a curved process wall on cylindrical tanks. The weld pad is supplied with flat pipe end.
