At South Coast, we offer styles and programs for dancers of every level. Recreational:
The recreational program is for beginning dancers who take 1-2 hour a
week. This program allows dancers to explore the art of coordination and rhythm.
Rubber Duckies:
This program gives dancers, between the ages of 3-5 years old, a
chance to take class and work on choreography throughout the year. In addition, they get to attend 2 competitions during the year along with performing in the annual recital.
The
Performing Group
is for the dancer who wishes to increase their training and
participate in a competitive venue. These dancers take 3-5 hours a week and compete at 2 competitions a year.
The
Shooting Stars
is for dancers who have outpaced Performing Group dancers but
are not yet ready for our Company Program. These dancers take 4-6 hours a week and compete at 4 competitions a year.
The
Lovett Dance Center
ballet program offers classical ballet training for students
wishing to pursue a career in dance as well as those wishing to enrich their lives by participating recreationally. The LDC Performance Groups compete on a regional as well as national level.
The
South Coast Company
is
for
selected,
dedicated
dancers
who
are
ready
to
commit to a 5-10 hour training schedule (dependent upon age.) They compete at 5 competitions a year and perform in recital.

DRESS CODE ALL CLASSES NO jewelry, small stud earrings only. NO Fitbits or Apple watches. Hair must be secured out of the dancers' face. (This includes boys.)
CREATIVE MOVEMENT/COMBO Any comfortable modest clothing, dance-wear preferred, no jeans or school clothes. Pink ballet shoes for girls and black ballet shoes or black jazz shoes for boys.

BALLET Female dress code by age. Classes will follow the average age group. If unsure what color leotard, please inquire at the front desk. All dancers: hair neatly groomed in a bun, secured with bobby pins. Spray hair to prevent flyaways and have a professional look. MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL NOT BE ADMITTED
INTO CLASS. THIS IS FOR
THE SAFETY OF YOUR DANCER, RESPECT TO OUR FACULTY AND AS TO NOT DISRUPT CLASS. IF YOUR DANCER WILL BE MISSING A CLASS, A COURTESY PHONE CALL TO THE STUDIO IS APPRECIATED.
MAKE-UP CLASSES MAKE-UP CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE IN ANY CLASS OF THE APPROPRIATE AGE AND LEVEL. MAKE UP SESSIONS MUST BE SCHEDULED AHEAD OF TIME. CLASS SHOULD BE MADE UP WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ABSENCE. PLEASE INQUIRE AT THE FRONT DESK IF HELP IS NEEDED WITH FINDING A MAKE UP CLASS FOR YOUR DANCER.
TUITION : TUITION IS DUE BY THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH. ALL TUITION IS DUE ON THE 7TH OF EACH MONTH AND WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED TO YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ON FILE. PERFORMING ARTS.
HAVING A CREDIT CARD ON FILE IS A REQUIREMENT AT SOUTH COAST
IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE YOUR TUITION AND FEES ON AUTOPAY, YOU CAN PAY
BY CASH OR CHECK PRIOR TO THE 7TH. CARD ON FILE.
IF YOUR CARD DECLINES, YOU HAVE 72 HOURS TO ADD A NEW
IF YOUR CARD DECLINES AND NO REPLACEMENT CARD IS ADDED, A LATE FEE WILL BE
ASSESSED ON THE 10TH FOR $25.

LESSONS DUE TO NON-PAYMENT AND DROP STUDENTS FROM CLASSES. TUITION IS THE SAME EACH MONTH REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF WEEKS IN THAT MONTH &/OR HOLIDAYS. YOUR DANCER IS ALWAYS WELCOME TO TAKE A MAKE UP CLASS WHEN THE STUDIO IS CLOSED FOR HOLIDAYS. A $25.00 FEE WILL BE CHARGED ON ALL RETURNED CHECKS. NO CREDIT OR REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR ABSENCE. CANCELLATION: YOU MUST SUBMIT IN WRITING YOUR REQUEST TO CANCEL YOUR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS 10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR NEXT PAYMENT IS TO BE RUN. ONCE YOUR PAYMENT HAS BEEN RUN, FULL REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED. IF NO CLASSES ARE TAKEN, WE WILL REFUND YOUR AUTOPAYMENT WITH A 5% SERVICE CHARGE. WE WILL ONLY REFUND 1 MONTH OF TUITION.
CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE • STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED NOT TO LEAVE THE CLASSROOM ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN. • WATER ONLY IS ALLOWED IN THE DANCE ROOMS. • IF YOU NEED YOUR DANCER BEFORE CLASS ENDS, PLEASE LET THE FRONT DESK KNOW. WE WILL GET YOUR DANCER FOR YOU.
RESPECT • PLEASE PRACTICE RESPECT AT THE STUDIO. DANCERS ARE NOT TO SOCIALIZE IN A DISRUPTIVE MANNER DURING CLASS OR WITHIN THE STUDIO COMMON AREAS. • ALWAYS TREAT TEACHERS AND FELLOW DANCERS WITH KINDNESS AND GIVE THEM YOUR FULL ATTENTION & COOPERATION. • PARENTS WILL BE CONTACTED IF WE FEEL THERE IS DIFFICULTY WITH ANY DANCER OR IF THEY ARE NOT ADJUSTING TO THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT.
