4 Seasons

 Read the E-Book chapters on being prepared for all weather conditions – heat, cold, wet.  We encourage teams to have a Support Crew who can cater for their needs throughout the duration of the trek, e.g. cold drinks if it’s hot, additional warm layers for the cold or something dry in case of rain.  Remember to call the Emergency Number (printed on your bibs) / take any Team Member showing signs of weather exposure to the First Aid stations located at the Luv Stops and Finish.

Luv  Stops (aka Checkpoints) & Timing Your bib which displays your team number is collected during Registration at Point Nepean. It must be worn on your front and visible at all times. Each bib has a timing chip on the back of it. This will register when you cross the start and finish lines to record your time. In between the start and finish there are Luv Stops where the whole team will need to ‘Check-In’ simultaneously and cross a timing strip. Team time is taken from the last team member to cross the timing strip. Your team must stay in sight of each other the whole time.

Checking-In at Luv  Stops & Finish Line Present as a complete team. Our Event Crew will not allow you to proceed to check-in until you’re all accounted for. There may be some queuing early on in the event so we do ask for your patience. Thank you! When all team members are present you may cross the timing strip. This records your progress and sends a live result to the Event Timing team. What if there are team member/s missing/withdrawn? Report any withdrawals to the Withdrawal Desk. Luv Stops have a closing time. If you reach a stop after closing you will be recorded as withdrawn from the

event. If you choose to continue you do so at your own risk. Closing times are: 60km Event Site Gunnamatta (20km) Koonya (30km) Portsea (43.5km) Fort Nepean (54km) Finish 30km Event Portsea (13.5km) Fort Nepean (24km) Finish

18 hours from start time 4.5 hours from start time 8 hours from start time 10 hours from start time

Results Each team must start and finish with the same 4 members, complete the whole course as marked, and have checked-in at all Luv Stops to be eligible for a line honours placing.

Official results will be available on the website within 24 hours. You will also be able to print your certificate.

Tips

 Gear: be prepared for ALL weather – hot, cold, wet. It’s YOUR responsibility to ensure you have gear ready for ALL sorts of weather, to avoid exposure issues.  Food: only small snacks are available at the Luv Stops! Please don’t count on there being something you like/ can eat. Come prepared!  The Route: will be marked as best as possible with pink reflective Coastrek branded trail markers. Some will be closer together where needed and further apart on ‘obvious’ sections. If you go ‘off track’ then you accept there will be no markers. PLEASE DON’T TAKE THE MARKERS AS A SOUVENIR
