WELCOME ANNOUNCEMENTS PIANO & SCRIPTURE MEDITATION (Acts 5:20)

Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life.

CALL TO WORSHIP (Luke 1:68-69, 78-79) Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, for He

has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of David His servant, because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high will visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

HYMN OF INVOCATION Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder (RUF version, vs. 1,2,4,5)

PRAYER OF INVOCATION SCRIPTURE READING Mark 14:53-65

CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN (prayed together)

Heavenly Father, Your Son was innocent. We confess that it was for our sin that He was condemned to die on the cross. We have broken Your holy commandments - both in the things we have done and in the things we have left undone. Forgive us! Thank You that, in the day Christ returns with the clouds of heaven to judge the living and the dead, we may have confidence, knowing that He died in our place. Hear now our private confessions of sin.

PRIVATE CONFESSION OF SIN ASSURANCE OF PARDON Jesus is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31

HYMNS OF PRAISE Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah (RUF version, vs.1,2,3)

O Love That Will Not Let Me Go (RUF version, vs. 1,2,3,4)

CONFESSION OF FAITH Belgic Confession, Article 14 (part 1)

We believe that God created man out of the dust of the earth, and made and formed him after His own image and likeness,1 good, righteous, and holy, capable in all things to will agreeably to the will of God.2 But being in honor he did not recognize it or his excellency,3 but willfully subjected himself to sin, and consequently to death and the curse, giving ear to the words of the devil.4 For the commandment of life which he had received,5 he transgressed; and by sin separated himself from God6 who was his true life, having corrupted his whole nature,7 whereby he made himself liable to corporal and spiritual death.8 Gen. 1:26; Eccl. 7:29; Eph. 4:24 Gen. 1:31; Eph. 4:24 Ps. 49:21; Isa. 59:2 4 Gen. 3:6, 17 5 Gen. 1:3, 7 6 Isa. 59:2 7 Eph. 4:18 8 Rom..5:12; Gen. 2:17; 3:19

COVID-19 CHANGES

Continue to watch for emails and calls from the Elders and Deacons which to keep you updated on services and activities at Bethel during this time. As we all do our part to help curtail the spread of the coronavirus, we encourage you to turn your hearts conscientiously toward Christ and actively remind yourself of all God’s promises.

F OR KIDS — 6:30PM GOSPEL KIDS We have temporarily suspended this activity.

FOR ADULTS — 6:30PM - 7:30PM

FOR KIDS

Children’s bulletins for use during online worship services are available for download on the home page of our website each week.

BIBLE STUDY --This Bible Study is meeting at Bethel and via Zoom. Contact Dave Postema ([email protected]) to join the zoom call. Our current study will be on the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans. In today’s world – just as in the time of the Roman empire – there was little hope in what many people believed about the future. This is why the book of Romans is rewarding – it offers hope. “For in hope we have been saved…” Romans 8:24. Please join us!

• (#731)

Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him, all creatures here below, Praise Him above, ye heavenly host, Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen

POSTLUDE

Madi Kanneman – Madi has surgery scheduled for May 27 at 7:30AM. Please pray God would grant the surgeon wisdom and skill. Please pray as well for a good outcome, for an easy recovery, and for comfort and strength for Madi. Gladys Kramm – Please pray for Gladys as she recovers from injuries sustained in a fall on April 25th. The family is so grateful that her injuries were not more severe, but she did fracture her right shoulder (at the socket), which requires a sling and future physical therapy. Thankfully no other broken bones.

HYMN OF RESPONSE

BENEDICTION DOXOLOGY

First of all, then, I urge that petitions and prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority...1Timothy 2:1-2

How Christ is aligning you with God’s purpose

Rob Hague-Rogers – Please keep Rob in your prayers as he struggles with memory loss. Presha Simmons – Presha is now in hospice care. Give thanks that she will receive even better care now. Praise the Lord that he has provided for her needs to be met. Also, pray that Harold will be able to see her soon. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25, 26

MISSION STATEMENT Because the gospel of Christ changes everything, Our mission is to spread the gospel of Christ so that Bethel Church, North Dallas, and the world grow in Him.

Drop off Your Little Ones You are welcome to bring children of all ages into the Worship Service, and we encourage you to worship as a family. We do provide a baby and a toddler nursery during the Worship Service for children. Toddler nursery is for walkers through age 4. Our nursery volunteers will provide quality and secure care designed to give your children a very positive experience. Busy bags are available; they are hanging on the wall outside the nurseries for children attending the service to enjoy. Worship in the Service with your little ones for as long as you feel comfortable before dropping them off in the nursery. Our mission is for even the youngest among us to hear and experience the Gospel each week.
