WELCOME ANNOUNCEMENTS ) PIANO & SCRIPTURE MEDITATION (Acts 11:18)

When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life.”

CALL TO WORSHIP

(Psalm 117)

Praise the LORD, all nations; extol Him, all peoples! For His lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD!

HYMN OF INVOCATION Abide With Me

(vs. 1,3,4,5)

PRAYER OF INVOCATION

SCRIPTURE READING Nehemiah 4:15-23

CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN (prayed together)

Heavenly Father, we confess that we were born in sin and have done what is evil in Your sight. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Forgive us and be our constant defense against evil. For we confess that we cannot hold out on our own even for a moment but stand in constant need of Christ and the Spirit. Hear now our private confessions of sin.

PRIVATE CONFESSION OF SIN ASSURANCE OF PARDON He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19

HYMNS OF PRAISE We Will Feast Man of Sorrows

(vs. C,1,C,2,C3,C) (vs. 1,2,C,3,C,4,C)

CONFESSION OF FAITH Belgic Confession, Article 21 (part 2)

Knowing all that Christ suffered for our sins, we justly say with the apostle Paul, that we know nothing but Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.1 We count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord,2 in whose wounds we find all manner of consolation. Neither is it necessary to seek or invent any other means of being reconciled to God than this only sacrifice, once offered, by which believers are made perfect forever.3 This is also the reason why He was named by the angel of God Jesus, that is to say, Savior, because He should save His people from their sins.4 1 1 Corinthians 2:2; 2 Philippians 3:8 3 Hebrews 9:25–26; 10:14 4 Matthew 1:21; Acts 4:12

Elijah Erb – Give thanks that center-based therapy is going well. Eli is enjoying his classes and has great teachers. Madi Kanneman – Madi is battling dysautonomia. Her doctors are pleased with the healing that has occurred. During the surgery they discovered a complication that may require a future exploratory surgery. Please pray this complication will be treatable. Also, Madi is suffering with migraine headaches; the previous medication which had been successful to calm them isn’t working. Please pray that the headaches can be controlled with medication so that she will not have to be hospitalized. Presha Simmons – Presha has Alzheimer’s and lives in a memory facility. Her husband, Harold, has been unable to see her due to COVID. While visitation under very tightly controlled circumstances is now possible, these restrictions (outside, separated by plexiglass, for a short time) may confuse and agitate Presha. Please pray that God would comfort both Harold and Presha. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
