[email protected] or 704-957-9727. THE ROOM IN THE INN This is a ministry that Mt. Zion participates in during the winter months in partnership with the Urban Ministry Center. The simple goal is to keep homeless people from freezing on cold winter nights. Every first and third Tuesday night from December to March we will provide housing and food for 10 people who are homeless. We do this by opening the doors of our Youth House and our hearts to a population of homeless people that continues to grow here in our own community. Each week there are a number of things that need to come together to make this ministry successful--and that is where you come in! We need volunteers! There are many ways that you can serve: cooking a warm meal, providing breakfast, packing a bag lunch, driving the church mini bus, doing laundry, staying overnight and more. Please prayerfully consider giving your time and talents this year.
