Friday 8th March 2019 Dear Parents Learning update this week … We have been writing about the characters in ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. We have learnt about doubling and ways to count efficiently. We enjoyed learning about ingredients and equipment in our cooking session and used the whisk to make pancake batter. We have made pictures with food and watched different fruits and vegetables change in our investigation area. We have enjoyed celebrating World Book Day, looking at Autumn poems and completing rhyming and craft work for our corridor class display. Next week we will be … Continuing to look at the story ‘The Tiger who came to tea.’ We will be talking about our favourite sandwiches, making sandwiches and writing instructions. In our Maths we will be doubling and looking at capacity. We will be making tiger masks. We will be having lots of fun celebrating Red Nose Day using the Ipads to take photos and record videos.
How can I help my child at home? Talking homework: Learn a joke to tell us on Red Nose Day. Superstar learner’s homework: Design your own Red Nose Day nose. I enclose a sheet if you want to draw or collage your nose, or if you could; please use ICT to create your nose and print/email it to me. Please write a comment in the box on the back of the homework letter to let us know how your child found the homework.
Please note: Red Nose Day: On Friday 15th March, your child can wear something red for a donation of £1. Hair accessories: Just a reminder, these should be plain navy blue, white or black.
