*Call to Worship Pastor Alex Leader: Come into the sanctuary and look around. Behold the beauty and splendor of God’s people. All of us—rich and poor, employed and unemployed and desperately hanging on. All: Behold the beauty and splendor of God’s people. We believe God’s steadfast love is better than life, so let our lips praise God as long as we live. We also often doubt God’s love. We often doubt that God will really provide when it matters. But this is what matters today: God said, “Come all who are thirsty, come to the water, and you that have no money, come, buy and eat.” All of us—rich and poor, employed and unemployed and desperately hanging on. So with faith—both bold and timid—let us worship God! *Opening Hymns

Come, Christians, Join to Sing Jesus, Name Above All Names

No. 108 No. 106

Prayer of Confession (in unison, followed by silent prayer) Holy God, We open our hearts to You this day, and offer the truth of our lives: The fear that stifles us, The prejudice that blinds us, The ignorance that hobbles us, The doubt that plagues us. Help us, we pray, that we will Find courage in unlikely places, See the world with new and gracious eyes, Move to those places where love is needed, Have faith that you are with us. This we pray in Jesus’ name. (silent prayer) Amen.
