A WEEK OF PRAYER FOR WISDOM

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

THIS WEEK, WILL YOU JOIN US in asking yourself, “Where do my wisdom and comfort come from?”

We live in a world full of ideas — but it’s not always easy to sort out what is wise and noble. Together, let us seek the Lord and his counsel, especially in hard and confusing seasons.

Pray for insight as we seek truth amid all of the information we are consuming each day. Pray for clarity of mind and heart.

Pray for those in authority — in your community, state, country and church. Pray for Spirit-led wisdom, for unity and for grace as they make important decisions in the face of confusion and crisis.

Pray for wisdom for all leaders and officials who are making vital decisions under enormous pressure. Ask God to guide their decisions and help them to base all decisions on both truth and love.

Pray for calmness and wisdom for each of us, so we can carry on together through the days, weeks and months ahead.

Pray for wisdom for Compassion’s leaders, both in the U.S. and abroad, as they carefully weigh decisions that will have an impact on the children we serve together.

Praise God for the wisdom he freely offers his children! Thank him that wisdom is a gift freely given to each of us.

Is there an area of your life where you need wisdom today? Pray for that specifically. Pray that God will give you great wisdom and righteousness as you seek his will.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. –JAMES 1:5, niv
