CHURCH IN HARD PLACES

Living for Jesus in hostile territory Radstock International Conference 3-5 March 2011 Frontier Centre, Northamptonshire, UK

The Theme... This year at the Radstock Conference we are thinking about what it means to be the church in places where it is particularly difficult, whether because of persecution, legal restrictions or a hostile culture.

Greg Livingstone We are pleased to have Greg Livingstone with us as our guest speaker. Greg is the founder of 'Frontiers', which has worked over many years to see churches planted in countries where there is often severe persecution.

There is clearly a lot of care needed when involved in this kind of mission, and so we are keen to learn together from the biblical principles and practical wisdom that Greg has gleaned over many years.

Other contributors are serving the Lord through His church in a wide range of situations around the world – we expect guests from North India, Eastern Europe, Mongolia and Myanmar, to name just a few – making it a great opportunity to be encouraged and challenged about what God is doing beyond our own borders and experience. Come and be part of this year’s Radstock conference and renew your vision for living faithfully for God right where you are, for sending and supporting friends in other places, or for going as part of a church-planting team – however you might be called to join with the ‘church in hard places’.

Highlights from the 2010 Conference: “Meeting with other mission-minded individuals” “Encouragement to ‘go’!” “Being refreshed and encouraged by strong teaching” “Practical sessions on mission and the church – very helpful for where our church is at the moment”

www.thegoodbook.co.uk/radstock2011

“Worship sessions in a large group” “Networking… hearing about new initiatives” “Hearing about how God is working worldwide re-ignites the passion!” “Renewing our focus on what we are doing - and encouraging further involvement”

The Venue... Our venue once again is Frontier Centre (UK postcode: NN9 5UH), “a 120-acre rural venue in the heart of England with stunning views along the beautiful Nene Valley”. It is easily reached from the M1, A1 and Wellingborough station, and Luton and Stansted airports are not far away. • All accommodation is ensuite and full-board • Day visitor options • Family rooms and childcare available (subject to

demand and ‘early bird’ bookings).

The conference runs from a buffet supper on Thursday 3rd to the afternoon of Saturday 5th March.

The Programme... The programme will include plenary teaching, corporate prayer, an Opportunities Fair and our popular seminar-style ‘connect!’ sessions. These include profiles from representatives of churches around the world and practical steps in global mission involvement. Coffee breaks and meal times will give you the chance to share news, prayer and mission opportunities with others from churches across the Radstock network.
