Drill a 13 mm hole, 12mm deep into the bottom of the joist. Glue the DECK CHAIR joist mount in place with Holdfast Carbond 940 FC

To allow for the increased slope, each set of 1200mm DECK CHAIR adjustable joist modules are opened wider. The last module can be cut to required length to which the the boundary bracing support joist can then be affixed. (See installation specs over.)

6 Place spirit level on top face, lift and adjust top flange to level to match first row of joists. 7 Repeat step 3.
4 Repeat Type A at 450mm max. centres along the face of the building.

10 Trim last joist to suit width of deck. Provide nogging where required to provide lateral stability prior to decking being screwed on.
8 Repeat steps 5 & 6 as many times as necessary using Type C, D and D+ as required.

3 Screw off at 200mm centres. (Use 8g x 40mm stainless wood screw.)

2 Place spirit level on top face and adjust top flange to level.
11 Last joist can be supported on metal angle attached to solid balustrade where required over an internal gutter. Ensure fixings are 150mm above deck and do not penetrate membrane upstand. Refer DETAIL 1
9 Where runners are needed (Type D+), support runners on DECK CHAIR joist mounts at 450mm max. centres aligning with joists above. Runner spacing to be at 400mm max. centres
5 Position second joist (Type B) abutting end of first joist.
1 Position first joist (Type A) 12mm clear of cladding/ joinery.
