Prayers___________________________________________ Rosa Douglas, Tim Douglas’s mother, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Estelle Allen, Belinda Melson’s mother, is in the hospital in Shreveport. Lloyd Beasley, Sam Beasley’s father, is scheduled to have hip surgery this week. Ameia Luckett, Lula Bell Luckett’s daughter, will have a biopsy on Monday, February 5, at River Oaks. Don Hammer is home from the hospital and doing well. News______________________________________________ Bible Bowl Study TODAY 3rd—6th grades: Will not meet 7th—12th grades: Scrap Book group only , 3:30, in the FC with Laurie McCarthy Women’s Circle The Women’s Circle will meet on Wednesday, February 6, 10:30, at the home of Carol Rietvelt. Lunch will be provided. Please reply to Judy Rives or Carol Rietvelt if you will be staying. Guest Speaker Dan Bouchelle will be coming to share the weekend with our Meadowbrook church family on February 8–10. Dan has years of experience working with churches. He spent over 25 years serving as a minister to large urban churches, and most recently is serving as the director of Mission Resource Network, a non profit that helps churches, missionaries, and mission efforts understand their context. 2nd Sunday Fellowship Please join us for 2nd Sunday Fellowship on February 10, at noon. Bring enough food for your family and our guests. The menu is potluck. Baby Shower A baby boy shower for Morgan Kittredge will be held on Sunday, February 10, from 1:30 to 3:00, in the Reception Room. Morgan is registered at Babies “R” Us. Shine On Shine 2013 will be on March 2, 8–noon. Meadowbrook will again be joining thousands of other Christians in our city in a day of service. Like last year, we will tackle a number of projects at Watkins Elementary School in Jackson. Please mark this date on your calendar to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these kids.

JAM Souper Sunday, TODAY, noon, Family Center-fellowship hall: Meadowbrook 3rd-6th graders will host retirees for lunch – 50’s style! JAMmers are asked to leave immediately before the last song and go to the Family Center to prepare for our guests. Pick-up is at 1:30. Pictures will be posted on Facebook. Many thanks to Cindy Gosa for organizing this event. Daddy/Daughter Date Night, Sat., Feb. 23, 6:00, Family Center-fellowship hall: Daddies and daughters of all ages are invited to an elegant date night complete with entertainment, delicious food, and photo ops. Check out additional information in the Sharing section below. Today/Tonight: SNL Super Bowl edition is in the Family Center, 5:30 until the game is over! Games, service, dodge ball, and much more! Bring $3 and a friend. Winterfest, Feb. 14-17: We have a great group of 45 teens and chaperones going to Winterfest! If you have not paid, please get your $115 for teens or $75 for chaperones to me by February 14. This includes registration fee, a t-shirt, and lodging. Money for nine meals will also be needed, along with any extra money your teen needs for “goodies.” There will be a quick 15 minute informational meeting after 2 nd Sunday Fellowship on February 10 for parents and teens. Gulf Shores Beach Retreat, March 14-17: Let’s spend some of spring break together at the beach! Worship, sand, service project, volleyball, two pools, games, lessons, and much more will be going on during this great trip! Sign up online by March 3. Cost is $110 for teens and $80 for adults.
