Press release: 12th October 2015

AECC Graduation Ceremony Friday [9 October 2015] saw 82 AECC students attend their graduation ceremony at the Corpus Christie Church in Boscombe, having just completed their three year BSc in Human Sciences. The students are now just two years away from completing five years of study to gain an MSc in Chiropractic and become chiropractors. The AECC, based in Boscombe, was established in 1965 and for the last 50 years has been offering a qualification in chiropractic, a practice to help manage back pain and other conditions relating to the musculoskeletal system (muscles and bones and nerves). Amanda Jones Harris, Course Leader at the AECC, commented: “The graduates have all worked really hard over the last three years. The course is challenging so it’s great to see them do so well and to be able to celebrate their achievements at graduation. “During the last three years, the students have focussed on a number of topics including human structure, human function and dysfunction, diagnosis and clinical management. These studies have prepared them to go on to study their Masters and gain clinical experience, while treating patients under supervision in the AECC clinic.” 23-year-old Charlie Bertoia, from Ontario, Canada, is one of the AECC students graduating. He said: “The course has been great; I love the vocational nature of it. The best thing about the AECC is the access to the clinic and the open door policy – and it’s nice to have the countryside and sea so close. I hope to work as a chiropractor, to own clinics, and to work in chiropractic politics and education policy in the future.” For more information about the AECC, visit www.aecc.ac.uk.
