Almost a decade ago, Rackspace recognised the benefit that Alert Logic’s capabilities could bring in helping our customers simplify system and network IT security and compliance management. A strategic partnership was born.

Cloud consumption continues to be strong. 87% of organisations now harness the public cloud, a growth fuelled in part by increasing competition amongst cloud providers and affordable options for businesses of every shape and size. A LONG STANDING PARTNERSHIP Founded in 2002 by a group of visionary security professionals, Alert Logic was born out of the need to fill a very sizable gap in the IT security industry. Before Alert Logic, companies were forced to buy expensive security tools and manage it all themselves – a costly approach in terms of both financial, resources, and ongoing management. Alert Logic set about building a multi-tenant security solution that could serve companies of all sizes, in every industry with an ‘as-a-service’ delivery model. This fully integrated software-as-a-service (SaaS) security solution took off, and today they have a global customer base in excess of 3,600, one third of which are hosted with Rackspace.

ADVANCED SECURIT Y SOLUTIONS Alert Logic® Threat Manager™ monitors the customer’s Rackspace environment, detecting both external and internal network threats. When it detects an incident, the Alert Logic ActiveWatch™ service kicks in to provide expert guidance for Rackspace Support to work with the customer to mitigate the risk. Integrated vulnerability scanning identifies possible points of network entry and proactively corrects them. In addition to network threat detection, customers can get a 360° view of their environment with Alert Logic ®Log Manager™ - aggregating logs from the servers, simplifying log searches, forensic analysis, and report creation through real-time or scheduled analysis. Alert Logic® Log Review is a service that provides daily event log monitoring, a requirement for some compliance regulations such as PCI DSS.
