Holy Trinity Episcopal Church

BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS

FOR OUR VISITORS OR NEWCOMERS

May 11/12, 2019

All baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion. Please follow the usher’s direction in coming forward. Also, if you need to receive Holy Communion at your pew, please make your need known to one of the ushers. If you would like to be baptized, we want to baptize you! See Fr. Steve or Rev. Pam. Holy Trinity opens wide its doors in the name of Jesus Christ and says “Welcome”… to all who feel joy and wish to celebrate, to all who are weary and need rest, to all who seek God’s desire for their lives, to all who mourn and wish comfort, to all who pray and to all who sometimes struggle to pray, and to all who are looking for a community of fellow pilgrims.

FOR YOUR HEALTH May is High Blood Pressure (BP) Education Month: What you don’t know about high BP could hurt you. High BP affects one in three Americans, yet many people with the condition don’t know they have it. Uncontrolled high BP raises the risk of heart disease and stroke, which are leading causes of death in the United States. Fortunately, high BP is treatable and preventable. To lower your risk, get your BP checked regularly and take action to control your BP if it is too high. We'll gladly take your BP whenever you ask us. No Yoga Class until fall, but please check out some other classes in the area or keep up the "postures" at home. Exercise Class will meet this Monday at 1:00pm in Lewis Hall.

We invite all visitors to sign our Guest Book in the narthex where you first entered the Church and take a moment to fill out the Visitor’s Card found in the pew rack, then drop it in the collection plate during the service or hand it to one of the clergy as you leave. The Nursery, located off the Gallery, is open during the 9:00am service.

Newsletter Deadline for the June/July 2019 issue of the Holy Trinity Tribune newsletter is this Monday, May 13. Please e-mail your submission to [email protected]. Thank you!

E-mail Scam Alert! During the past week several people have received e-mails from someone pretending to be Rev. Pam. The person is asking for help in the form of iTunes or Amazon gift cards. The fake e-mail address has been reported. If you ever receive an e-mail that says it is from one of your clergy or church staff, but seems suspicious, please don't hesitate to call the office. Holy Trinity Has a Hashtag! If you use social media (FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter), and you post pictures or activities related to Holy Trinity, we want to know about it! Use the hashtag #holytecm. If you do not understand this strange language find a Vestry member, young person, Rev. Meghan, or Rev. Pam to explain! The church's public WIFI is HTCHURCH; the password is holy1830. The flowers on the Altar today are given to the glory of God and in celebration for all the teachers/mentors for the lessons and daily wisdom they have given all of us. The Youth Group will host the Coffee Hour which takes place after the 9:00am service in the parish hall. To find it, exit the church’s east entrance, take a left and follow the sidewalk north. All are welcome!
