Appalachia Mission Trip Who should apply: This mission trip is for women ages 20-80. This is a great trip first time trip as there is something offered for everyone! All applicants will be interviewed before acceptance on the trip.

Trip dates: Sunday, May 6 – Saturday, May 12, 2018 •

Transportation: Van rental

Trip cost: $475 • • • •

Trip cost includes lodging, meals, ground transportation, and day excursion. You will need funds for 4 meals while traveling. Payment Schedule: $100 with application by 02/25, $200 by 3/25, $175 by 04/25 Make checks payable to WRCC or click on Donate to a Trip at wrcc.org/globaloutreach Contact the trip leader for fundraising options

Vaccinations:

Required: Tetanus within last 5 years and be current on routine vaccinations

Team development sessions: Meeting #1: March, 2018 – exact time and date to be determined Meeting #2: April, 2018 – exact time and date to be determined Meeting #3: May, 2018 – exact time and date to be determined *Team Development Session dates and times are subject to change

Sunday: travel to Red Bird Mission in Beverly, KY Monday, Tuesday: variety of areas to serve: homeowner repair project (main focus), deliver for Meals-On-Wheels, or participate at Senior Citizens Center Wednesday: free day of sightseeing Thursday, Friday: variety of areas to serve: homeowner repair project (main focus), deliver for Meals-On-Wheels, or participate at Senior Citizens Center Saturday: travel back to WRCC with stop in Berea, KY at historic Daniel Boone Tavern

To bless other families with the love of Christ through our actions of service Trust the time spent working and sharing together will help us grow in Christian love Each individual will use the time away from their normal environment and routine to reflect and pray about the problems and joys in their own lives and be spiritually enriched. To learn of the beauty and the richness of the Appalachia Mountains and the people who live and work there and will compare their struggles and problems with those of their own communities.
