Hartford Select Baseball Coach Application “The Hartford Baseball Club strives to develop our student athletes by building a passion for the game of baseball, teamwork, sportsmanship and character. The program’s emphasis is on player development, baseball fundamentals and developing the skills to help our players become competitive baseball players leading up to their high school years. While wins are important in sports, player development is our emphasis.” Our coaching staff is the heart of this statement. We are committed to providing our players with coaches that are motivated and positive role models. Each team will be appointed a head coach, with several assistant coaches. To be considered for a manager or coaching position, you will need to complete the Coaching Application below. Coaches appointed to a position will receive credit for their family volunteer requirement. Please fill out this form completely. Submitting this application does not guarantee an appointment to coach. If selected, your appointment will be not be finalized until a background check has been submitted and returned with a positive result, Wisconsin Concussion Training has been completed, and agreement to the HSBC Coaches Code of Conduct is made. I understand that the President and Vice President, ratified by the Board of Directors, made my  appointment and expires at the end of the current playing season.   I acknowledge HSBC’s requirement of being a positive role model at all times for players,  coaches, parents and spectators, and I agree to be a positive role model.   I understand that each of the four (4) coaches per team will be given volunteer credit to satisfy  the volunteer family requirement.   I agree to complete the required coach’s training provided by the Club or the High School to  further develop my coaching skills for the season.  I agree to obtain, read, and strictly comply with all rules and regulations of Wisconsin State  Youth Baseball League and Coaches Code of Conduct.   I acknowledge and agree that the Board of Directors, at its sole discretion, shall have the  authority to discipline, suspend, or terminate the membership of any member (including  myself). This is particularly true when the conduct of such person is considered detrimental to  the best interests of the Hartford Select Baseball Club.   I agree to respect and comply with all requests and decisions by the Hartford Select Baseball  Clubs Board of Directors.   I understand that team assigned equipment is Club property and represents a significant cost to  Hartford Select Baseball Club and I understand that my team’s (more specifically the Coach’s)  failure to promptly return team assigned equipment on time may jeopardize my future  association with the club.   I understand that the official scorebook is club property and that I am required to produce when  requested by a member of the board.   I understand and agree that my failure at any time to strictly adhere to the aforementioned, at  the sole discretion of the Board of Directors, may result in a variety of sanctions up to and  including the immediate termination of my association with Hartford Select Baseball Club.   I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the club receiving no  inappropriate information on my background.  

I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability Hartford Select Baseball Club, the officers,  and volunteers thereof, or any other person or organization that may provide such information. I  also understand that, regardless of previous appointments, Hartford Select Baseball Club is not  obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position. If appointed, I understand that, prior to the  expiration of my term, I am subject to suspension and removal by the Executive Board of Directors  for violation of club policies or principles.      Signature
