Evangelism Explosion Someone once commented to the famous evangelist D.L. Moody, “I don’t like the way you do evangelism.” Moody responded, “Oh, who are you currently sharing the gospel with?” Somewhat embarrassed, the man admitted that he was not sharing the gospel regularly with anyone. Moody said, “Then I prefer my way of sharing the gospel over your way of not sharing the gospel.” From Pastor Brad
Evangelism Explosion teaches people how to share the gospel. The course teaches you how to start spiritual conversations. It supplies you with an easy to remember outline of the main points of the gospel. You will learn applicable Bible verses and illustrations to support key statements such as, “Heaven is a free gift, it is not earned or deserved.” The class also provides role playing so you can practice. You can go visiting with an EE “veteran” to experience what it’s like. One of the most encouraging things about EE is to hear how people who have been through the class now share the gospel with their family, co-workers, and friends at the Baxter YMCA or on the baseball field. The more comfortable we are with the gospel the more we will share the good news to others. So, if anyone criticizes you or the Evangelism Explosion class, just loving respond as D.L. Moody did. Ask them who they are currently sharing the gospel with. Don’t let them discourage you. The enemy does not want anyone to learn how to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The class begins Wednesday evening, March 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 and continues for thirteen weeks. RSVP with Adam. In Christ Alone,
Brad

ST N’S MINI CHILDRE
Sunday Night Live (SNL) would not be possible without the following faithful and energetic people who serve each Sunday evening: Aneda Hanschu, Andy Hanschu, Betty Simpson, Bonita Jones, Cynthia Keen, Keith Simpson, Melissa Burgess and Tim Bradberry. These folks love on, pray for and disciple these sweet children each week and we are so very thankful for each one of them. They make SNL so much fun; come join us and see what you've been missing!
SAVE THE DATE FOR VBS Mark your calendar now for June 26-30th Plan to be here for “Cave Quest” as we learn what it means to follow Jesus! Calling All Children!!!!! 4 years old through 5th grade... get ready for VBS! Registration will be live on our church website by mid-April. Tell your friends and spread the word. June 26th-30th is going to be a great week and you don't want to miss it! This summer's underground adventure following the Light of the World is approaching quickly. If you have not signed up to help out, please contact Cynthia Keen (
[email protected]) and let her know how you can help.
Not sure if Children's Ministry is right for you, consider this, from the article, "6 Reasons You Should Serve in Children's Ministry”, by Tony Plummer (http://ministry-to-children.com/serving-in-childrens-ministry/).
"Why You Should Serve In Children’s Ministry” 1. Children are important to God. I don’t know about you, but I want to serve in ways that matter most to God. There is no question about God’s attitude toward children. The Bible tells us that kids are a blessing from God. While Jesus was on earth, he made a point to welcome children and to affirm their value. He even talked about punishment for anyone who would abuse a child. Make no mistake, kids matter to God. If God’s priorities matter to you, then you should serve in Children’s Ministry.
Parents’ Night Out/Service Night for Children: We would like to make this a quarterly event, but we need volunteers to make it happen. If you would be willing to serve, even if only once a year, that would be great (we provide dinner for the children and the volunteers!). The next Parents’ Night Out will be June 4th from 5:00-8:00 pm. More details to come.
LOOK UP LODGE SUMMER CAMP Save the dates: August 9-12, 2016 Cost: $229 per child All current 2nd – 5th graders are invited to attend summer camp at Look Up Lodge near Greenville, SC. A deposit of $100 is due by April 17. Make checks payable to “Tega Cay Baptist Church” and put in the memo line “Look Up Lodge” and your child’s name. For more information or if you would like to go as a chaperone, contact Melissa Burgess at
[email protected].
Sunday Night Live (SNL): We had an awesome time learning about the Armor of God the last couple of months. It was so exciting to see the children sing for the church family in their armor on Palm Sunday. SNL will continue to meet each Sunday in April from 4:306:30pm in Building 3; all children K - 5th grade are welcome. Our next lesson unit is on how to be "Olympians for God"; we will study what God's Word says about how to Love one another, Accept one another and Forgive one another. For more information about SNL, please contact Melissa Burgess at
[email protected].
