The how #3- I move toward God’s ‘there yet’ for my life by challenging myself with truth because God challenges me with truth. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

Main Idea: Move toward God’s ‘there yet” for my life… The how #1 - By loving myself the way God has loved me… The how #2 - By viewing myself the way God views me, WITH GRACE… The how #3 - By challenging myself with truth because God challenges me with truth…

Talk about it: Ice Breaker: When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? What changed? Read and discuss Philippians 3:12-14 What does “Forgetting what is behind me and straining towards what’s ahead” look like for you? What are some things you need to forget; are there some you’ve let go before but find yourself picking back up? What are some things you are pressing on toward? How do you move away from comparisons to others with your “there yet”? How does Paul tell us to define our “there yet”? (hint v.14)
