Ministry Partnership Program at Denver Seminary OPPORTUNITY: Associate Pastoral Residency LOCATION: Sanctuary Christian Fellowship ABOUT: www.scf.church Sanctuary Christian Fellowship in Englewood, CO, located approximately 5 miles from the Denver Theological Seminary, is currently seeking resumes from individuals who may be interested in the following position available December 1, 2017. “Our church was organized in 1986 and is an independent, conservative Body of Christ with an original tie to the Church of Christ though no longer officially affiliated with that organization. We have a very high regard for Scriptures and a deep desire to reach our community and our world for Christ. Our lead pastor has just recently joined our staff and we are enjoying new growth and a renewed season of vision-casting as we prepare for the future. We see this current staff position that is coming open as one of the most important developments in our church life for the season ahead as we restructure and rethink how to be a bright light for the south Denver metro area and for our world.”

QUALIFICATIONS: This position is a vitally important part of our overall staff. This position will be full-time or nearly full-time, based on the individual’s availability and schedule. This person shall work closely with our lead pastor and other staff people and be prayerfully involved and committed to Christ and our church body. Special responsibilities shall include student ministry, small group ministry, community outreach and other related pastoral ministries. Some of these other ministries might include administration, hospital visitation, preaching, conducting special worship services, and the like. If the candidate is a seminary student, we will work closely with the individual to accommodate such a schedule. Characteristics in the candidate that we are praying for : dynamic and vibrant personal faith in Jesus Christ, leadership capabilities, passion for students and student ministry, teachable spirit, strong team member, good work ethic, loves people, good administrative abilities and organizational skills, self-initiator and preferably 2-3 years as a student pastor in another church prior to coming to us. Either holds an M.Div. or currently working toward an M.Div. degree. TUITION CONSIDERATION:

$3,000 per Semester toward tuition 10% tuition discount Taxable Living Stipend: Yes - $20,000 per year

DEFINITION OF THE MINISTRY RESIDENCY PROGRAM: By Definition the Residency Program is an Internship and contains the following: 1. Similar ministry training as that available in and through schooling for future clergy; 2. This training is for the benefit of the trainee; 3. Resident is not a replacement for a regular employee, but works under close observation; 4. This program is considered to be of greater value to the trainee than to the employer; 5. Trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the completion of the program; 6. Employer and trainee understand that trainees are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training.
