ASSOCIATE WORSHIP PASTOR Job Title:

Associate Worship Pastor

Responsible to:

Senior Associate Minister and Worship Pastor

Key objectives:

To assist the Worship Pastor in developing the worship ministry of Christ Church. To assist the Senior Associate Minister in developing and maintaining the communications of the Church, including website and publicity.

Responsibilities: As a member of the worship team  To prayerfully plan and facilitate with the Worship Pastor and staff team the growth and development of worship at Christ Church.  To lead worship at Sunday services and other church events.  To contribute as required to the smooth running of Sunday services.  To assist with the planning and leading of regular worship practices.  To help maintain the administrative processes for the worship teams, including internal communications, rotas, effective resourcing, and maintaining song databases and CCLI records.  To help the planning, administration and execution of special services, such as those around Christmas and Easter  To assist in the maintenance of all music and production equipment.  To assist in the smooth running of other church events as required. As a member of the communications team  To assist in the ongoing maintenance and development of our web-based communications, including website and social media  To assist with the production of other publicity materials e.g. flyers and posters for Christ Church events.  To assist in the development of new areas of our communications. Person Specification: Personal requirements  Mature Christian faith and commitment to grow as a disciple  Heart for worship and passion to lead people in worship  Pastoral motivation and sensitivity to team dynamics  Good and willing team member  Servant-hearted and willingness to work hard Specific abilities Necessary  Experience and/or training in music and worship leading from an instrument (guitar or keyboard)  Proficiency in your instruments, understanding of band dynamics and ability to direct different instruments with appropriate language

An appreciating of diverse styles of worship and music Effective personal skills and ability to encourage and effectively lead teams Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Time management with ability to prioritise workload The ability to exercise initiative and be self-motivated, work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable  Wide-ranging and well-rounded knowledge of worship songs  Able to identify, recruit, train and release volunteers to serve in ministry according to their gifts  Experience operating sound and visuals equipment, such as Easy Worship  Experience working with web content management software, such as ChurchInsight  Experience with graphic design software, such as Adobe’s Creative Suite
