ATTENTION!

As a safety feature the Fusion Juicer will not power on until all components are assembled correctly. This is to prevent accidental contact with the spinning blade. Please read the instructions carefully before use. 5 Simple steps to get started

1. Remove all packaging ensuring that you remove the plastic pusher from the first polystyrene tray as you unpack the box. Remove the cardboard disk between the lid and the blade. 2. Wash before first use and reassemble making sure the blade is secure, the locking bar is locked in its upright position and the pulp collector has locked in place with the activation pin at the base of the collector is engaged to base of the unit. 3. Lower the juice spout by gently pushing it until it clicks into its downward position. 4. Plug in your juicer and let it run for 5 – 10 seconds before you start juicing. During the manufacturing process motor lubricant will have been added to the motor unit. During first use this will vaporise and may create an odour. This is completely normal and will dissipate with initial use. 5. Do not force produce down the shoot as this may create pressure and will cause the blade to automatically shut off. Use the pusher to guide produce through rather than forcing it. Please note, the pusher has one flat side which corresponds to the flat edge on the chute. Make sure these are aligned before pushing produce through. Not all fruits and vegetables will fit in the chute whole. The chute has been designed to be as large as possible while not adversely affecting performance. You may be required to chop fruit to fit where necessary.

Trouble Shooting Problem

Answer

No Power

As a safety feature, the unit has to be assembled correctly before it will switch on. There are 3 steps to ensuring everything is correctly assembled. 1. Check the blade is in the correct place. Push down until it clicks into place. Push down on the top rim and not directly onto the blades 2. Check that the pulp container (clear plastic container where the pulp goes) is slotted into place. There is a hole on the machine which needs to engage with an activation pin (prong) on the container base. Remove the container, hold it flat and carefully slide it into position until you hear it click. 3. Check the silver locking bar is correctly locked into place. The locking bar holds the juicer lid and the pulp collector in place. If the locking bar is not in its full upright position, the juicer will not start. This is to prevent accidental contact with the spinning blade.

Nothing will juice (on first use)

Have you opened the unit and checked that the cardboard cover has been removed from the blade? For packing safety there is a cardboard cover over the blade. Please carefully remove this before use.

No juice is coming out

Have you checked that the spout is in its down position? Push down gently on the spout to get it into its pouring position. If the spout is in its upright position then juice is stored in the unit. Up position, no juice will come out.

Not turning on

For safety, the unit has to be assembled correctly before it will switch on, this is a safety feature. There are 3 steps to ensuring everything is correctly assembled, please see above.

Blades not spinning

Check the blade is in the correct place. Turn off the unit at the source. Push down until it clicks into place. Push down on the top rim and not directly onto the blades.

ASSEMBLY STEP 1 Place base on a dry flat surface with locking bar in down position as shown. In front of the machine (spout side). IMPORTANT: There is a Safety MicroSwitch located in the back center of the base. This mechanism is an added safety feature. Once the pulp collector is in place the Activating Pin on the bottom of the pulp collector activates the Safety MicroSwitch. This will protect you from accidentally putting hands or fingers under the machine while the blade is turning. Once the pulp collector is removed from the main base the motor will not run.

STEP 2 Align grooves on the bottom of pulp collector with tracks on the base. Note: The Safety MicroSwitch is located in the back center of the base. Slide pulp collector with Activating Pin towards base in the direction of arrows. Make sure the pulp collector is firmly in place against base. IMPORTANT: The motor will not run if pulp collector is not properly assembled. Pulp Collector

STEP 3 Place receptacle on the base, with juicer spout facing direction of locking bar. Settle receptacle into alignment.

STEP 4 Place filter/blade inside receptacle. Rotate the filter/blade allowing it to settle into alignment. Press down on rim of filter/blade firmly to secure. IMPORTANT: The unit will not start until filter/blade is secure and firmly in place. The motor will not start until the unit is properly assembled.

STEP 5 Place lid with built-in pulp guard on top of receptacle, making certain it is securely aligned with the pulp guard facing in the opposite direction of juice spout. Lock lid into place by lifting locking bar up until it clicks into grooves located on both sides of the lid. Make sure locking bar is in the full upright, locked position. IMPORTANT: The unit will not start until this bar is properly locked in place and the pulp collector is properly assembled. Lid with Built-In Pulp Guard
