August 19, 2012 Welcome to First Baptist Church! We welcome those who may be at First Baptist for the irst time. We trust that you will ind us friendly. More importantly, we pray that God would use this worship time to draw you closer to Him. We would also encourage you to try one of our small-group Sunday School classes. You can ind information about these classes and lots of other news about First Baptist at our Information Centers. Today, we will take a moment to have special prayer for our college students returning to school. Every day I think about the signi icance of 16,000+ students being right around the corner from us at the University of Louisiana. Join me today as we pray for these students. How are we praying for these university students? Here are several speci ic requests.

1. Our FBC students as they return to campus. 2. Balance for their studies, work, families, and service to FBC. 3. Our ability to connect with new incoming Christian students as they search for a church home and Christian fellowship. 4. Safety and provision for all students. 5. Our partnership with the the UL BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) for effectiveness and favor with students and faculty. 6. Administrators and Faculty to be led and blessed by the Lord. 7. Boldness to make Him known on the campus of UL daily. 8. A harvest of new believers on the UL campus. We are now only two weeks away from our annual One Day Celebration. ONE Day is a joint worship celebration on September 2 at 10:00 a.m. I want to urge everyone, even though this will be Labor Day weekend, to give maximum effort to join us for this special worship gathering.
