Sunday August 23th PrimeTimers’ Pot Luck lunch in the Koinonia Room after the 11 o’clock service. Invite your friends to be a part of the great lunch and fellowship! Bring a favorite dish to share or stop by the grocery store for some fruit, bread, or what-have-you, and if you invite a first-time attendee, tell them they need not bring food! We enjoyed meeting several guests last month! Thank you to all who help with the set-up for lunch and those of you who bring such delicious food to share. Monday August 31 Angels in Aprons cook for the second time this month due to the holiday the following Monday. (Labor Day, September 7th) Food distribution will follow the usual schedule and be available on September 3rd, the first Thursday of the month.) Tuesday September 1st No men’s lunch out. Instead, all PrimeTimers are invited to the Pastors’ Gathering in the Cowden Club House at Manor Park! Once again you are encouraged to be part of the fellowship and fun from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Great Room in the Cowden Club House at Manor Park. More delicious food, wine, and lemonade will be served and you’ll be guests of the FPC Pastors. Whether you live in town, at Manor Park, or wherever, all PrimeTimers are encouraged to come! It’s summertime still, so dress is casual. Additional information: Thank you to all PrimeTimers who help with In Touch gift preparation and delivery, Stephen Ministry tasks, food preparation and especially Angels in Aprons, mission trips, prayer support, knitting and sewing, hygiene bag supplies and preparation, choir and other music provision, and all the works of FPC. It is impossible for me to think of all the mission work of this congregation. If you are reading this but don’t find yourself a part, come on August 23rd, Kick-Off Sunday, and see if you can find a way to become more involved! Please call me (Susie-684-7821) if you know of church members who are homebound and might like to be considered for home communion delivery on the first Sundays. This is another way to help FPC. I will follow up on your suggestions and offer a home visit by an FPC Elder and Stephen Minister volunteer. I have had several who declined visits for several months and later welcomed a visit. Thank YOU for making this a caring congregation!
