Sport Whanganui KiwiSport RPF Consultation 2015 - 2018

Background & History Why are we doing a KiwiSport Consultation? Sport Whanganui oversee and distribute the KiwiSport fund within the Whanganui, Rangitikei and Ruapehu regions. Every three years we need to consult with our community to ensure that the KiwiSport RPF priorities that were established from our community consultation in 2012 are still relevant, and to ensure maximum impact on our community over the coming three years. What priorities were identified in 2012? The following are the priorities that were identified as a result of the 2012 KiwiSport Consultation: - Fundamental Movement Skills programmes within primary schools - Coaching programmes for coaches directly impacting kiwi kids - Events or transport - New and innovative projects How are we doing this Consultation? This Community Consultation will be carried out through a variety of mediums, including: - Online questionnaire (Survey Monkey) - Face to face consultation through Sport Whanganui sport development team - Various community forums - Sport Whanganui website and Facebook page Who is contributing to this consultation? In order to carry out this consultation, Sport Whanganui will be reaching out to the community for input, feedback and suggestions on the future of this initiative. This is the chance to have your say and tell us how you believe the KiwiSport RPF will best serve our community over the next three years. That includes primary and secondary schools both locally and in the regions, clubs, regional sport organisations, DHB, PHO, local Iwi, Wanganui District Council, youth groups, corporate backers and sponsors.

Feedback reviewed and final consultation complete
