REQUEST FOR BIDS (RFB): The Board of Education of Baltimore County invites suppliers to bid on the provision of MATH AND SCIENCE SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT CATALOG under solicitation number JNI-798-14. This RFB includes all grade levels and various BCPS approved suppliers. Interested suppliers may secure a set of solicitation documents on or after Friday, April 4, 2014. Solicitation documents are only available electronically online and may be accessed by registered suppliers at the following website: www.esmsolutions.com Registration with ESM Solutions/eSchoolMall can be accomplished by following the steps listed below: • •
Go to the home page of ESM Solutions (www.esmsolutions.com) and point to “suppliers” and click on “supplier support”. Next, click on the “supplier registration (K – 12 only)” button to complete the data input of the registration process. There is a $95 annual fee for registration. The registration process will allow suppliers to select the category description of the products and services provided.
Suppliers already registered with eSchoolMall should “Log In” using their existing Login and Password. Procurement inquiries regarding business issues such as contracting, the overall RFB process or specific questions pertaining to line items within the RFB can be emailed to Jack S. Nichols at:
[email protected]. For questions of a non-business nature about the ESM Solutions website, registration, logins or if assistance is required for uploading RFB pricing, please contact ESM Solutions Customer Care at: 877-969-7246 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (
[email protected]). Verbal questions will not be taken. Bidders must submit line item bid pricing through the eSchoolMall easyBid platform. Proposal documentation (“Form of Proposal” pages) must be submitted by bidders on or before the due date and time, to the Office of Purchasing at the BCPS Office of Purchasing, 6901 N. Charles Street, Building E, Towson, MD 21204. Scanned/emailed submittals are acceptable. Electronic line item bids and hard copy proposal documentation will be accepted until April 25, 2014, no later than 4:00 P.M. There will not be a public bid opening. The contractor or suppliers who provide materials, supplies, equipment, and/or services for the above solicitation shall attempt to achieve 14% participation of Small and/or Minority Business Enterprise organizations in response to the Board of Education’s goal for economic development. Small Business Enterprises and Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The Board of Education of Baltimore County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities.
