Hymn 577

God of Grace and God of Glory

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified dead and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty Hymn 139 Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him! Let the amen sound from his people again; gladly forever adore him. Rev. Dr. Leanne Hadley

God of all, you have joined us to be one body at Christ Church and have given us a mission to fulfill. Bring us together in community around your mission, to partner with your Holy Spirit, and to share your love, one person at a time. Keep us working toward your vision for this community. Help us to heal divides as your Spirit focuses our minds on what binds us. Through our gifts, make each of us to be a blessing in your church, community and world. In the grace and mercy of our Lord we pray. Amen.

CHILDREN’S MOMENT

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Rev. Jacob Cogman

OUR STRATEGY

UNSTOPPABLE

Ironman Summer Gatherings for Men--Men Need Bros. Each Wednesday morning through July 31, 6:30-7:30 am in Fellowship Hall. Start your Wednesdays with fellowship, Bible, and table discussion on how God made men to be bros!! The greatest threat to men’s health is loneliness! Men make time for everything else EXCEPT vital, deep and lasting friendships with other men. But, God made Men for friendship...that means we can’t opt out. So make time this summer to make friends at Iron-Man! Contact Brandon Dirks for more information at [email protected] or learn more at www.ccum.net/Men.

Serve During the month of June, we are again collecting non-perishable food items to support Red Bird Mission, a United Methodist Agency which provides ministries for residents of Clay, Bell, and Leslie counties in Appalachia, three of the most poverty-stricken counties in Kentucky. A list of the most needed items can be found (insert link to document). You can help provide hope by putting any non-perishable food in the collection bin during June in Gathering Hall. The Pioneers SS class will coordinate the food transportation on July 2; if you have a vehicle and are able to assist with this, please contact Gwyn or John Morton ([email protected]). New York Mission Trip The Youth Ministry is looking for adults who are interested in an intergenerational mission trip to New York City. The mission team will lead a camp for children in Manhattan and Brooklyn. If you’re interested, please contact Chris Hughes ([email protected]).

THE FOUR QUESTIONS WHERE have you seen God’s love at work this week? HOW are you growing in God’s love this week? WHO has God placed in your path that needs to experience God’s love this week? HOW have you demonstrated God’s love this week?
