Hymn 599

THE LORD’S PRAYER PRELUDE

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*CALL TO WORSHIP

Andrea Levreault 2019 Congregational Daily Prayer Leader: God has joined us into one body with Holy purpose. People: Bring us together, O Spirit, to share your love one person at a time. Leader: Keep us together in this mission, and help us to heal divides. People: Through our gifts, make each of us to be a blessing in our church, community and world.

*HYMN OF PRAISE

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty

Hymn 64

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scripture; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Save the Date

Following the special meeting of the General Conference at the end of February, we want to be ready to explore any decisions made and what it means for Christ Church. Please mark your calendars and plan to participate in Loving Through Our Differences | Our Way Forward. Two Sessions, Two Options: Sundays, March 10 and 17 from 3-4:30 pm OR Mondays, March 11 and 18 from 6:30 to 8 pm. All sessions will take place in Fellowship Hall. The Safety and Security subcommittee of our Trustees has been taking steps to make Christ Church a more safe and secure environment for all of us to enjoy (see the Final Word article in the winter issue of Reflections for details). Soon, entrance door #12 will be accessible during the week only for pastoral counseling appointments. All others will use entrance door #1, the covered Portico entrance. Thanks to the subcommittee for all of their hard work.

The flowers have been placed on the altar today by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pfeiffer in memory of our parents and brothers. The rose banner is out this morning in honor of the births of Ethan Drew Farmer, son of Mark and Sara Farmer, who was born February 5, Rowan Lea Holley, daughter of Tyler and Sadie Holley, who was born February 9 and Poppy Evangeline Holladay, daughter of Briana and Geoff Holladay, who was born February 9.
