And as we look forward to 2016, pray that the Lord’s peace would be upon us. Guest Speaker - Toran Scott Toran has been married to his college sweetheart for nearly 17 years and together they have four wonderfully energetic kids. Toran is the pastor of formation and discipleship at Central Wesleyan Church in Holland MI. He will be planting a church campus with Central in early 2017 somewhere in M. He enjoys training police dogs, riding motorcycles at Grattan Raceway and woodworking, but most of his time is spent helping his kids with homework. He used to be cool.

Weekly Focus: Urbana 2015 | December 27-31, InterVarsity’s Student Missions Conference Since 1946, God has used Urbana to challenge nearly 300,000 participants to consider their responsibility to, and the privilege of, serving in global missions. Several of Calvary’s young adults have had the opportunity to attend the conference, held in St. Louis, and we rejoice that a group of 40 will attend this year. Commitment, learning, and an invitation to salvation remain as focal points for Urbana. Furthermore, the organizers of the event hope, “Urbana ‘15 will reflect the uniqueness of today’s college generation...At Urbana, we will challenge them through Bible studies to move beyond charity to identification with the needy. We will challenge them that both demonstration and proclamation are needed for the Gospel to be effective.” Join us in praying for Urbana 2015. Pray for organizers, speakers, and for the individuals from Calvary. Pray God would be praised and honored, and for a new generation of local and global workers to continue impacting the world for His Kingdom. If you would like to help send our young adults to this year’s conference, simply indicate ‘Urbana Scholarship Fund’ on your check or on the giving envelope and place it in the offering plate Missionary Prayer Guides Missionary Prayer Guides are available at the Information Centers to guide you as you pray for our global and community workers throughout the month of December.
