Calvary@Calvin 101 Recap Thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday for Calvary@ Calvin 101. The evening included an update on current and future construction, encouragement from Pastor Jim on the spiritual impact of our move to Calvin, plus details on what ministry will look like at Calvin. A complete recap of the evening is available at gracebeyond.org. We also encourage you to pick up a copy of the Calvary@Calvin Spring/Summer Guide in the back of the Sanctuary. Prayer Garden Dedication Next Sunday On Palm Sunday March 20, we will have a special time of worship in the morning services to dedicate the new prayer garden and thank God for His faithfulness throughout the first phase of Grace Beyond. The prayer garden will open on March 21. If you took home a rock from the groundbreaking service in August, a reminder to pray for Grace Beyond, we encourage you to bring it back any time during Holy Week and place it in the designated area within the garden.

Hospitalized If you have been hospitalized, or anticipate hospitalization, and would like a visit from a Calvary pastor, please call the church office. Blodgett: Diane Havemen, Jan Klomp Mary Free Bed: Marie Koetje, Dick Roeters Prayer Chain: If you need prayer, contact Don & Cindy Marrell (cmarrell@ calvarygr.org) at 450-9622. Bereaved We extend our Christian sympathy to Christa Wilson at the homegoing of her husband, Paul, on March 3; and to Maury Lehmann at the homegoing of his wife, Shirley, on March 8. Thank You Last Sunday night we had a fantastic town hall meeting about our move to Calvin. I am so appreciative of all the hard work that has gone in to make the move to Calvin possible. During the question and answer time, I made an unrehearsed comment that was meant to be funny, but it did not reflect how grateful I am to God for taking us to Calvin and how grateful I am to Calvin for hosting us. I am sorry. It was a good reminder that God

Weekly Focus: Gideons International So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 The Gideons started distributing the Word of God in 1908, and today there are more than 300,000 members in almost 12,000 local groups around the world, and an untold number of supporters in 200 countries, territories and possessions around the globe. These dedicated individuals give of their time and resources to make it possible for others to learn about the love of God by giving them access to His Word. In fact, Gideons International has placed or distributed more than two billion Bibles and New Testaments around the world . . . and counting! God’s Word will not return to him void; only He knows the number of individuals who have responded to His own words as a result of reading one of these Scriptures placed by the Gideons. These men and women know and believe that God orchestrates the placement of each Scripture – whether it is in prison, a hotel room, a hospital, a school, or directly into the hands of someone, and that God will use it for His glory. None of this can happen without the support of churches like Calvary. Every dollar donated goes directly to the printing and distribution of God’s Word around the world and the Gideons themselves supply all the funds for administrative costs. Last month, the Missions & Outreach ministry of Calvary Church made a donation to Gideons International in support of their ongoing work. Emergency Response Team We are looking for doctors and nurses that can assist in an emergency as part of our Emergency Response Team, both here and at Calvin. Contact Earl Jenkins at ext. 5117.

Internship Opportunity Calvary’s Young Adult Ministry has an opening for College Campus Discipleship Interns for the 2016-2017 school year. The primary objective for this position is to grow as a disciple-making follower of Jesus Christ by forming and leading a discipleship group on a college campus or within your sphere of influence, if you do not have a campus. See calvarygr.org for an application and further details . Short-Term Mission Trip Donations Currently there are two short-term mission teams, Mozambique and France, that are preparing for their trips and raising support. If you have been trying to donate online to support team members for either of these trips using mycalvarygr.org, we apologize that there have been some problems. The donation site is back up and running. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and the teams thank you for your patience. Celebrating 10 Years This week we gratefully celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Jim Samra serving as senior pastor of Calvary Church. We thank God for gifting him with the insight to clearly and powerfully speak His Word. We are also grateful for Pastor Jim’s obedience in prayer and for the many ways he and his wife Lisa serve God at Calvary. Calvary Church Elders
