BIG WINS & BIG PLANS 2015 EDITION

A LETTER FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: What a great year for the Dallas Sports Commission! We hosted more than 759,276 participants and fans in 2015 – exceeding nearly $312 million in economic impact from the games, competitions and exhibitions that made their way to Dallas. And that doesn’t include the impact from the premier college football game, the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship, which brought in another $211 million.

Monica Paul

The Dallas Sports Commission identifies and bids on potential events and performs many functions that are often required of a host city that are essential for the success and growth of sporting events and meetings. These tasks include facility and hotel identification, ticket sales, communications and marketing, operations and event production. In 2015, the Dallas Sports Commission identified, bid on and booked future events that will translate into 782,375 attendees and $428 million in future economic impact. As we continually explore ways to position Dallas as the country’s premier sports destination, we are also excited to announce the expansion of our DSC Advisory Board, comprised of accomplished Dallas sports experts that can give strategic advice for our 2016 events and beyond. Our mission is to create a positive impact on the economy and quality of life for Dallas residents. We already have events booked through 2019, encompassing over 50 events with $1.2 billion in economic impact and 1.8 million in attendance. We look forward to our exciting BIG slate of future events coming to Dallas!
