We are blessed when we dwell in God’s presence. Psalm 84:1 (ESV) How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! Psalm 84:2 (ESV) My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Psalm 84:3 (ESV) Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at Your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Psalm 84:4 (ESV) Blessed are those who dwell in Your house, ever singing Your praise! Selah Acts 7:48 (ESV) Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands … John 15:4 (ESV) Abide in Me, and I in you. We are blessed when we draw from God’s power. Psalm 84:5 (ESV) Blessed are those whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. Psalm 84:6 (ESV) As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. Psalm 84:7 (ESV) They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. Philippians 4:13 (ESV) I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

We are blessed when we depend on God’s protection. Psalm 84:8 (ESV) O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah Psalm 84:9 (ESV) Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of Your anointed! Psalm 84:10 (ESV) For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:11 (ESV) For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:12 (ESV) O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in You! 1 Peter 5:10 (ESV) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
