Bond Street Station Western Ticket Hall Tunnelling Update We would like to advise you on the progress of the tunnelling excavation works on the Bond Street Crossrail Station. The eastbound and westbound platform tunnels have been completed as have the pedestrian access tunnels at the eastern end of the station near Hanover Square. The works are now concentrated around the access tunnels at the western end of the station which means they are mainly under the buildings between Davies Street and South Molton Lane (including Grays Antiques and some properties on the western side of South Molton Street). There is also an access tunnel linking the Crossrail Station and Bond Street London Underground Station which is due for completion on 28 February. The diagram overleaf shows the different access tunnels around the western ticket hall and the dates they will be started and completed. We have already completed the sloping escalator tunnel shown in yellow on the diagram and are now working on the small pilot tunnel, shown in green. This tunnel should be completed on 02 March and is constructed to reduce surface settlement. This should not be noisy work but when the pilot tunnel is expanded to form the main concourse tunnel, shown in blue, there will be some noise from the breaking out of the concrete pilot tunnel. Once the concourse tunnel is completed on about 27 March we will start digging the four cross passages, shown in brown on the diagram. These should all be completed on 19 April but will cause some noise when the concrete openings are broken out. That should complete all the excavation work and then the tunnels will be given a secondary lining which is not a noisy operation. There may be the odd bit of short breaking out works but we will try and warn you of these rare occurrences. In order to minimise potential ground settlement while undertaking the tunnelling work, the two grout shafts in Davies Mews and South Molton Lane will be active on a 24hr basis to ensure that the our teams can address any potential movement of the ground affecting the building on the surface. Duration of work • This phase of the work started on 17 November and is due to be completed on 19 April 2015 • Work will have to continue 24 hours a day for safety and settlement reasons

What to expect • There will occasionally be some groundborne noise caused by the breaking out of concrete within the tunnels • There will be 24 hour supporting works on the surface at Davies Street with the delivery of concrete and the removal of excavated material • Grout shafts will be active on 24hr basis as and when required

What we will do • We will monitor the noise and vibration and keep it to a minimum
