This week is VBS and it’s FREE! June 20-24, we will be glowing for Jesus each morning, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Gather your friends and neighbors and bring them with you to CAVE QUEST! Kids 4 yrs (by June 1, 2016) - 5th grade will have an amazing time trying out new games, songs, science experiments and more as we teach them to follow Jesus the light of the world! Register participants at the door beginning at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, June 20. Come back for more fun Thursday, June 23, at 6:00 p.m. for FAMILY NIGHT. There will be FREE corn dogs available at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. The VBS music rally begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Great Hall.
Friendship Club (55+) - Invite a friend to join you at Noon on June 28, in the Great Hall, for a pot roast lunch and the music of classical tenor, Barry Craft. Barry has sung leading tenor roles with numerous opera companies and is at home on both the recital and symphonic stages. He is also a stage director and recording artist. You will enjoy Barry’s presentation of “A Walk Down Broadway” which begins with the vaudeville era and a hit song from every decade of Broadway shows. Games begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Hall. The meal is $3. Make your reservation by calling the Church Office at 972-424-8551. Journey (Student Ministry) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at the home of Jerry & Deanna Durham. Bring a friend and join us! Pray for Our Student Ministry Arizona Mission Trip to the Western Navajo Reservation, July 8-16. Parent’s Night Out - Children (babies - 5th grade) enjoy a fun evening of games, crafts, and Bible activities at First Baptist Plano (6:30-9:30 p.m.) on July 8. Register by completing the blue PNO envelope located at the children’s check-in kiosks, or print the registration form at fbcplano.org/connect/children. Registration and fees are due to Cathy Hacker in the Children’s Ministry Office by June 29 for a cost of $10/child (max $25/household). Pizza is available for purchase at $2 per slice. Include pizza money along with your registration fee.
Wednesday Night Schedule Change - The family meal, Journey (Student Ministry), and all classes and activities will be cancelled on Wednesday evening, June 22.
I LOVE MY CHURCH work day will be Saturday, July 16, 7-11:00 a.m. The morning will include several projects for all skill levels. Tree island work will consist of placing additional mats, rocks, and boulders. We will need help installing edging, spreading additional mulch, cleaning the open court yard behind the Prayer Garden, and spreading top soil. Watch for opportunities to sign-up in your Sunday School class!
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World - Join other followers of Jesus as we pray June 6 - July 5 for our Muslim neighbors to know Christ. Through prayer, we engage in an act of love for Muslim people around the world—sharing their burdens, understanding their concerns and petitioning God to help them. In this way, we fulfill the command of Jesus to love our neighbors. Free prayer guides are available in the Church Office and in the kiosks.
Senior Escape is coming August 5-7 for outgoing and upcoming high school seniors at Lake Texoma. Save the date!
CentriKid Parent/Child Meeting will be on Sunday, June 26, 5-6:00 p.m., in the Gathering Hall. All campers and their parents are required to attend this meeting. Cross Cheer Camp - Cross Cheer was created as a ministry to reach young girls through the sport of cheerleading. During June 27-30, we invite completed K-5th grade girls to enjoy cheers, chants, jumps, gymnastics, games, Bible lessons and crafts in the gym, Monday-Thursday, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Register at www.crosscheer.com.

TRIPS & OUTINGS Memphis/Nashville - Our September 12-16 trip will include several museums, Graceland, and the Peabody Hotel ducks. We will travel on to Nashville where we will visit the County Music Hall of Fame, take a cruise on the General Jackson Steamboat, and tour several sites of Music City including the Ryman and the Grand Ole Opry.
