The Gi of Educa on Because of the Diocese of Milwaukee’s long term commitment to St Marc’s School in rural Hai , thousands of children have had access to a quality educa‐ on. • Many walk from surrounding communi es, some as long as an hour, to a end St. Marc’s School due to it’s reputa on and results. • The school has grown from ~150 children in 1986 to ~525 in 2015. • There are 178 students in High school ‐ many if not most of these students would never be able to complete high school without St. Marc’s School. • The Project employs all the teachers and administrators, several are former St. Marc’s School students. • Schooling children locally is safer and benefits families, the community, and the country through decentraliza on from Port Au Prince ‐ a dangerously overcrowded city. • Many young parents are now able to read to their children Your generous dona on will help keep dreams alive.
